Ansly perched on a tree branch in the late evening, waiting for the sun to go down and Gareth to awaken. The moon was up early tonight and so was she. She flipped back her white hair and started to hum just as a rumble started overhead. She looked up, slightly confused. Suddenly, water started to fall from the sky! Was this...rain? she'd never seen it before, she thought as she turned her face upwards to the drops that slid down her face. Down she jumped from the tree and started to spin in a circle, bare feet sloshing in the wet grass. It felt so wonderful, cold and tingly on her skin. She laughed joyously and started to dance.

Gareth burst from the earth as he awoke and looked around wondering where his lifemate had vanished to. He grumbled slightly she always managed to disappear. He left the cave and sighed chuckling, seeing his innocent lifemate dancing in the rain.

Katherine sat at the entrance of a cave, grumbling, she hated rain.

ansly turned her head to the side, still dancing as she sensed Gareth awaking. "Hello!" she cried, running over to him and grabbing his hand. Before he could protest or even react, she pulled him into the rain with her, still skipping and laughing.

Dominic rose and blinked, seeing Katherine sitting moodily at the cave entrance. He noted the rain and her expression. "Hello dear lifemate," he said, trying to decided if she was going to be grumpy with him and make him walk of eggshell, something he was not good at. "Did you sleep well?"

"ACK! Ansly, what are you doing? I do not want to go into the rain." Gareth protested as he mildly pulled back at her. Not really attempting to get away, which he easily could do.

Katherine grumble a reponse back to Dominic, that sounded mostly like "Fine." she kept glaring at the rain.

"Why not?" Ansly asked, eyes wide. "Its wonderful!!" she said with another giggle. She was still holding his hands as she finally stopped skipping about and smiled up at the sky. "I didn't know they had such a wonderful thing as this on Earth! There's no water at all on the moon..."

Dominic cautiously sat next to Katherine. "Staring at it won't solve anything dear..." he said mildly, not sure what would be the safest thing to do here.

"It is water falling from the sky." Gareth said, not really impressed, " I have seen it for millenia.... but I guess if you had never seen it before it would seem kind of.... spectacular."

Katherine turned her glare at Dominic for a second before looking back to the raining sky, "You're a Carpathian right? You have some sort of control over nature ban the rain."

Ansly pouted at Gareth. "It is spectacular. You have to be happy for every wonder you see or everything loses it importance!" she said with a quick nod.

"Of course," Dominic said, but normally we are brining the rain and I was somewhat curious as to why you dislike rain." He sighed though and waved a hand, clearing the rain from around them.

"I am happy for the wonder I do see, you Ansly are that wonder." Gareth said, watching Ansly.

"Part-panther, Dominic." Katherine said, "part-panther...." she smiled at him, "Thank You."

Ansly pout deepened. "Fine. I can't get it out of your head that I'm a wonder, but at least admit that the rain is wonderful too!!"

Dominic gave her a questioning look. "I thought panthers could swim..." he said, standing and offering a hand to Katherine.

"It's just rain lifemate." Gareth said, "It is a natural process of the earth."

Katherine sighed, "I had a bad experience as a cub. Plus it gets my hair/ fur all wet. It's gross."

"BUt I like the rain. Stop trying to downplay it already!" Ansly scolded him, one hand going to hip as she shook a finger at him. "You seem to think just becuase it happens all the time, it means it can't be a miracle!"

Dominic shook his head. "Then I suppose I can do no other than protect you from the rain. It is rain, but if you don't like it..." he sighed. Katherine tended to complicate even the simplest things. "Shall we go outside now, or do you wish to stay in the cave all day?"

"Whatever, love." Gareth said, shaking his head a smirk on his lips. "Do you plan on dancing in the rain all day?"

Katherine sighed, "I don't particulary want to be in here all day, it's kinda boring just sitting in a cave, but I don't want to get wet either."

Ansly sighed and pouted a bit. "What do you propose we do then?" she asked, looking back up at the sky. Ah...so pretty....

Dominic waved his hand. "Love, I moved the clouds away. I can keep you dry," he said, slightly exasperated. "I swear you are just making excuses to annoy me."

Gareth shrugged, "We could go find Katherine and Dominic."

Katherine giggled slightly, "Hadn't thought of that but not that you mention it......"

Ansly's face brightened. "Oh!! THat's a wonderful idea!" she exclaimed. "Use your spledid abitlities to lead us that way!" She pointed a finger in front of her in a 'forward march' motion.

Dominic shook his head with a slight chuckle. "I can't say that I beleive that..." he muttered, pulling Katherine to her feet and moving out of the cover of the cave. "You annoy me far too much not to be doing it on purpose," he said, a teasing grin tugging his lips.

Gareth chuckled and picked Ansly up slinging her over his shoulder and begin walking towards the nearest cave.

Katherine pouted, "Well if I annoy you so much then why do you stay around?" she said, pulling a very dejected look onto her face.

"Gareth!!" Ansly screeched, pumeling his back. "I didn't say to pick me up!! GARETH!!!!"

dominic just looked at Katherine. "You know why, so don't even ask. I love everything about you. Even the annoying parts..."

Gareth just chuckled and kept carrying Ansly.

Katherine frowned, not pleased that Dominic hadn't taken the bait. She glared at him slightly.

Ansly's eyes narrowed and she transformed into a moth and fluttered off laughing in Gareth's mind.

Dominic almost smirked back at KAtherine, well aware that she had been tempting him. He still a moment and then said, "I sense a carpathian coming towards us."

Gareth grumbled, "If you get lost it's not my problem, csitri."

Katherine sighed and transformed into a panther, climbing up a tree, 'Let me know if they mean harm' she called down mentally 'It will be quite a surpise to get a panther on their head.'

Ansly sent him the image of sticking out her tongue and landed next to him, taking on a human form again. "Just let me walk then. I am quite capable!"

Dominic shook his head. "do not go attacking a Carpathian, love" he warned softly.

"Fine, csitri, you may walk, but be careful we are nearing other Carpathians and I am not sure if it is Dominic or not."

Why not? Katherine grumbled, a pout audible in her voice.

Ansly rolled her eyes. "Haven't we established that I can run away faster than you Carpathian's can follow," she grumbled, but she nodded at Gareth.

"Numerous reasons," Dominic warned with a slight growl. "Firstly, this could be Gareth and I secondly, I will not allow you to attack a Carpathian and possibly get hurt! You are part Carpathian and should know not to take our dangerous qualities lightly!"

"Fine, fine. Just be careful." Gareth said, being watchful as he continued moving forward.

I know, I know..... Katherine said, sounding much like a chastised child. She grumbled a bit to herself in her head.

Ansly stuck her tongue out at Gareth behind his back and followed.

Dominic sighed, not sure if she had gotten his point. Maybe he would bring it up again later. For now, he could feel that the Carpathian was nearly here. He moved to the base of the tree Katherine was in...just in case.
