Here is where we reign supreme...

It hadn't been an easy past week for Mycroft.

He'd fought tooth and nail with his parents about moving back to their original home--the one they'd lived in about ten years ago. He didn't want to leave. He had a wonderful life there--lots of friends, a big house, a girlfriend--and he had to leave it all behind because his parents 'missed' the area.

He wasn't angry so much as he was frustrated. He didn't have too much of a violent temper...it was more of a feminine 'I'm going to scream and cry at you to make you feel really bad' temper.

He was, however, looking forward to the boarding school here. He was independent, and he rarely ever needed his parents for anything. He'd have to find a job soon, though, so he could pay for his own stuff, for the most part.

It was the first day of school. Due to still being...unfavorable...towards his parents, he didn't speak to them the whole car ride over, and he didn't say goodbye. He wandered around the front courtyard slowly, looking around.

He had heard rumors...

Was he really coming back? Kire sighed to himself, resting his head in his palms and looking out into the field of students. He knew what his old friend looked like...He'd been in newspapers a lot. A really good student. But on the other hand, he wasn't on best terms with the world anymore. His world was hanging by a thread, not even caring what he did anymore. Kire didn't want Mycroft to see him again. Knowing he'd be disappointed on what he'd become.

Dark eyes widened when he spotted the blond, he shut them quickly and stood, grabbing his bag. 'Maybe altogether he won't recognize me...i have changed drastically..' he thought to himself. the now black haired senior in his childhood had light brown hair always a hint of color to his skin. Compared to his now ghostly and scarred skin, it was different. 'Besides..I've matured facially. There's no way he could know it was me when I was 8 when we last met...'

Mycroft had gone over all of his old photos the night before they had left. He remembered Kire. He had been his best friend.

He'd always wondered what happened to him. He didn't know what he looked like, now...or if he was even still living here. He hoped he was--he wanted at least one person he knew to hang around with here, in a place full of strangers.

Even as he was just walking around, he was getting appreciative stares and giggles from girls. He'd been quite popular at his old school and had been dating the most attractive girl at school. He missed Emily, and was still communicating with her thanks to texting and the internet.

Looking around, he didn't seem to recognize anyone that looked like Kire. He looked...lost, almost. He'd been hoping he would see him...

Kire sighed, not liking his friend being lost like that..'i could simply ask him whats the matter. He doesn't have to know its me.' he thought the idea and stood walking over to the confused blond.

"I'm guessing you're new? I haven't seen you around before." the outcast said, tucking his hands in his pockets and looking towards the ground, face still towards the blond.

If it wasn't for the fact Kire hated what he'd become...No. He didn't hate it. He enjoys what he became and what he is. But to have his best friend see his once innocent self now nothing better then a whore....Somebody who should get help..It didn't feel right to hurt Mycroft like that. Kire wanted his friend to always remember the good Kire. Not what he has become.

Mycroft looked up from the ground when this stranger approached. He looked a bit like a loner, and a troublemaker. Of course, Mycroft didn't recognize him.

"Yeah..." he admitted, looking around aimlessly. "I don't know where I'm going or anything..."

He looked back at him, offering his hand. "I'm Mycroft. Myca, for short."

[Mina is kicking me off to play asteroids for a little bit. So yeahh. (: I'll reply when I can.) ]]

"You can ask the secretary for directions around. When you get to first hour, the teacher will ask another student to give you a tour." Kire didn't offer his own name or shake the blond's hand back. "I...Gotta go though. Sorry." he said, leaving towards the building. Now hoping..He didn't have the first class with him. Once Myrcoft had a name, he can recognize anybody.

The outcast entered the class earlier, having already had a cigarette before he entered the school grounds, and was resting his head on the desk in the back row away from the windows; obviously tired. If luck was on his side, he wouldn't have to cross paths with Mycroft again for the rest of the senior year. Then again, that is very unlikely.

It was a school ,and you're bound to meet somebody once day. There is no such thing as 'avoiding'.

Mycroft dropped his hand, watching the other boy hurry off. "Uh...okay..." he muttered, wondering if he'd done something wrong. "I guess people don't shake hands here anymore or something."

He sighed, finally heading inside. He asked the secretary quietly for a map and decided to find his own way around. He walked around for a while, still painfully lost, until he finally caught it out of the corner of his eye. He checked his schedule once again. 216. This had to be it.

Trying not to make too big of a scene, Mycroft walked in, glad that class hadn't started yet. As he did so, he noticed the boy from before sitting in the back of the room. Still thinking he might have spooked him, Mycroft sat down in the front row for today, near the windows. He set his things down next to him, but he kept the map out on the desk to study it.

Kire gazed up slightly from his make shift pillow (yay for textbook pillows!) and saw Mycroft. 'No...Damn Karma.' he thought, groaning slightly then hitting his head lightly against the thick book.

Why did the person he absolutely not want to see have to be in his class! the blond didn't even recognize him when they were face to face. Then again he didn't even look him eye to eye. Just to the side.

Mycroft seemed to be engrossed in attempting to decipher the map, which was...extremely confusing. Why couldn't they just make the map simple? Was it really that difficult to make the map understandable?

He didn't notice Kire glancing at him. He was waiting for class to begin.

In 5 minutes due time the bell had rung and the class had entered the room, filling into the seats and talking amoungst themselves while the teacher got ready.

The teacher had gotten out a list and started calling off names, the part that Kire was dreading the most was,

"Kire Valles?"the outcast sighed and hid his face in the book as he was doing so earlier and raised his hand mumbling out a 'here' so the teacher wouldn't get pissed at him for not responding. He quickly moved his hand down and the teacher directed him to stop 'sleeping'. God this non-sense already? He was just resting his head down, not taking a nap. Geez.

((I'm going to bed...I'm dying, here. XD))

Mycroft froze.

He looked up, hearing precisely who had responded to that name...and his eyes fell on the boy from before. No wonder he'd been so nervous...Mycroft hadn't recognized him!

"Mycroft Skelter." A few people looked up at his name as he raised his hand, politely. He was well-known as a good, popular student with a lot of friends even here.

((D: Aww. *is going to be lonely* .... *goes to find more yaoi roleplays* >W> *))

"Can I go to the bathroom?" Kire said, already standing up, tugging at his sleeves and leaving before he got the okay. He knew something bad would happen..The outcast didn't even want to go to school that day in the first place, having to miss a Saw marathon because of school.

Once arriving to the bathroom, he sat underneath the counter top and stayed in that corner in a fetal position. He wanted to calm down. Think that none of this had happened. A full year with the blond. "Get a hold of yourself...You never act like this. Never." he muttered to himself, gripping at his hair. Kire growled under his breath and got out from underneath the counter and looked at himself in the mirror. He sighed and calmed, resting his eyes down to the sink.

Mycroft blinked, puzzled. He'd wanted to apologize to Kire for not recognizing him, but...why did he run off like that?

He sighed remorsefully, watching the teacher reluctantly finish roll call.

Towards the end of the class period, Kire re-entered the classroom, sitting down in his regular seat where all his stuff is. He looked emotionless in the face and his body language gave off the sense of 'don't mess with me'.

He felt like himself again, as if Mycroft never transfered to the school.

As soon as Kire reentered the room, Mycroft was itching to go talk to him. He fidgeted in his seat, almost completely ignoring the drawling teacher before him.

He'd given such a fit when he moved away from here, kicking and screaming, bawling that he wanted to stay. He even tried to hide in the dog house in Kire's backyard. He didn't want to leave his best friend behind. Now that he was back, Mycroft was swelling with happiness and couldn't wait to go rekindle what he'd been forced to leave behind.

It seemed like forever before the bell rang. When it did, Mycroft practically leaped out of his seat, turning around to study him. Kire looked like he was upset about something...but Mycroft would change that!

As soon as Kire stood up, Mycroft strode up to him and, to the shock of the other classmates, gave him a nearly bone-crushing hug.

Kire stayed, kinda shocked then pushed the other away, "What the hell was that for?" he snapped, glaring slightly at his friend. He needed to keep his reputation in the school, and though he would have hugged back, he resisted and did what he now did.

The other students started filing out of the classroom, leaving the two alone. the teacher left to the teacher's lounge. "Mycroft, why did you do that?" he asked, in a calmer tone now.

((XD He can be a complete spazz. *pauses* Though, he's nothing spazz-wise compared to his second-eldest brother.))

Mycroft squeaked slightly when he was pushed away, a regretful look on his face. He was about to apologize and walk off when he noticed the sudden change in Kire's demeanor as the room emptied.

He shuffled back up, sheepishly, and hugged him again. "Uh...hello? Because I missed you!" he informed him pointedly, resting his head on his shoulder. "I haven't seen you since we were little...how'd you expect me to act?!" He was obviously excited to see him, and he seemed to be telling the truth.

((Oh god.))

" A little more mature? Then again, I don't expect any less..." he led off sighing. Kire patted the other's head, "I missed you too..So what came over your parents to allow you to move back?" he asked, giving the other a slight hug before letting go. The outcast looked around with his dark eyes, making sure there aren't any people around. Safe.

"Me? Mature?" Mycroft replied, idly. "That'll never happen. And...they just...missed the area. And my dad got his old job back. Plus, my mom missed Arcturus."

Arcturus, or Archie for short, was Mycroft's elder brother. He was mentally unstable, though he was a sweetheart, and had been cooped up in the town's asylum since he was eight. Not much was known about him, but there had always been nasty rumors floating around the school about him.

"Ah. I feel bad for your brother...The rumors are horrible." Kire said sadly, then looked at the other, "So how have you been lately? You haven't changed at all." he said truthfully, unlike himself, Mycroft didn't look much different from when they were 8/9. "My dad said that he's doing good though. So that's good news." Kire's dad worked as a secretary of sorts at the asylum and worked privately with Archie. So he always knew if Mycroft's brother was bad or good from his Dad's 'stories' when he came back home after school.

"I've...been okay," Mycroft replied, smiling. "It was hard to come back here, after having already been uprooted once, but...I'm okay."

He glanced at the clock and jumped. "I...I was told by the secretary downstairs that I should pick someone to take me on a tour," he informed Kire, shuffling a bit. "Would you take me?"

"Sure..." Kire said, a little hesitant on his answer. He wanted to...But other people would see. He sighed and led Mycroft out of the classroom, "What is your next class?" he asked in a forcefull tone, rubbing his arms slightly.

Mycroft dug for his schedule in his pocket. "All right," he mused, taking it out to show him.

Kire blinked and sighed when he looked at the sceduale, "Lucky for me. I don't have to show you anywhere. We have the same classes.." he said, handing the paper back and heading to the next class.
