So, if you look at a butterfly wing as a piece of paper tilted away from you, the shadow would be near the body and the 'highlight' would be away from the body. It would be a smooth transition from dark to light. Of course, the details require a darker shade, but those are exempt from this explanation. XD
The sections within the latticework (the teardrop sections you're dithering) are sometimes very slightly thinner than the rest of the wing, so there is a very small allowance for shadow there.. but not much

No it's not bad. IF these wings made it through, and IF this was the only color palette they would be available in, then it wouldn't be too much of an issue. Since Jelly plans to do recolors using the 6 color palettes, I'd just imagine she'd want to just eyedrop the colors already present rather than searching for a shade of color that fits that 7th spot.

I wouldn't call it a pain in my side. I always appreciate help and suggestions. ^^

Haha I know I was just too lazy to be specific, so I meant that more like the 7th color you included. xP

Well I have made a habit of just using the 6 color to the best of my ability. On the side I can experiment with palettes you make.

Hopefully Jelly will like them enough to put them in the more full priced shop. If she doesn't feel they're ready for a shop yet, then hopefully I'll be able to get them to that point someday.

Hmm.. I don't have the luxury of being able to stare at your wings for a long time right now, but the one thing I notice when zoomed out is that the lines between the lighter bits are really dark.
A really helpful pixelist friend once told me that highlights bleed together, even over dark lines - that phrase seems so obvious, yet I forgot it sometimes all the time in my earlier days of pixeling. @u@ Now I think about it a lot, and it helps~
