Yay webcomic fan art!

I know his nose is weird and that I could use a bigger range of darker shades but...I'm just starting to get to know colors tad better ^^
The hair looks off but I just need to practice with it ^^

Tell me what you guys think:

:angel:I like the way you did the hair. And the eyes are nice too, got a great gleam there. Would have liked to have seen a little more detail. Other than that great ^_^

Oh my, is that webcomic still running? I loved it, but eventually stopped reading it when real life became too busy. I made a fan picture of Lexx and Zeta YEARS ago :XD

Nice picture!

whoosh I have a fan!

THank you all for commenting.
@Crystal, I'm not a good realism oekaki person, but I'm trying to be!

If someone has tips for the nose, please post!

very nice, but you should keep in mind that other colours reflect on other things - like skin etc.

So this is oekaki? Cool! I actually think the nose is okay given how stylized the image is. I can see you're already aware that you need darker values so I won't comment further on that.

Hair is a tough thing to get right. The thing that helps me most is to remember that, while actual hair is made up of individual strands, our eyes can't register every strand all at once. For that reason, it often looks better if you work mostly with large clumps of hair to give it the illusion of volume and definition, then add in a few details here and there to make it look more realistic. You might also consider adding more highlights.

Have fun practicing! Oekaki is an awesome tool to play around with. Watching others' animation files taught me a lot about techniques that I can use in other programs.
