In need of some advice before I open an art shop.

I made this image to use as a banner of sorts for an art shop I plan on opening soon.
As it's going to be the first image everyone sees, I want to make sure it looks as nice as possible.
There's a few things that concern me.
The girl's proportions. (ex. Is the head too big?)
The colors - my laptop displays colors a little funny. Does any color in particular look really odd/clash?
The overall composition.
All comments/critiques/suggestions are appreciated.

Also, If you would like to offer any advice on these pieces as well, I would appreciate it.
I've started doing chibis in a style that's a bit different from what I use to do,
so I'm wondering if I should stick with it,
or try going in a different direction if it's not working.

Love the chibi pieces, I think you should definitely stick with that style. I'm sure it will sell very well. :)

As for the banner, I don't see any reason why you should resize her head. It fits with the cutesy mood of the rest of the piece. The colors though, are very similar in saturation. It's not necessarily a problem, but if you put the whole thing in greyscale you see nothing really pops. It's your personal choice whether you want to fix that or not.

Anyway, love your stuff and if I have any gold to spare I'll definitely buy something from your shop :D

Thank you! :)

And I was worried about that with the colors.
My laptop tends to display them darker than they actually are.
I checked it on another monitor,
and it looks a lot more washed out.
Like you said, it's not necessarily a 'bad' thing,
but I'll play around with the colors a bit to see if it helps.

By the way, the art in your signature is adorable! ^-^

I have to agree with the colors. Though I love the green you used for the cupcake wrapper/skull. Very vibrant.

I like the chibi style, her head is huge, but works with your art nicely.
And I find the overall composition adorable. (:

Thanks melody. ^^

I rounded out the jaw, 'cause I think it looked too square,
and resized her head just slightly.

I know it's only a slight difference,
but is this an improvement, or was the previous one better? :?

Thanks Aura, your siggy is really adorable too! =3

I definitely like the rounded jaw better, looking at them both. And the slightly smaller head puts more attention on the banner itself. So, good improvements!

I love the style I would definately buy one ^.^

I have to agree with the coloring though. Its not terrible but on my screen it has a very washed out look as you mentioned earlier.

That's great, I love that happy cartoon feeling to it! =3 Those edibles in the background look awesome!

I like the second one better definitally. :3

Looking from my screen, the colors are a bit softer than usual, but it doesn't take away from the art at all. The banner looks wonderful! And the smaller head words so that you eye isn't too drawn in by it and gives the eye a chance to look at the title or the other components of the banner.
Lovely~!!

Thanks for the comments/advice, everyone. <3 It really helped. n_n
I think I'll definitely go with the second one,
and maybe play around with the colors a little more.
