Also, you should start investigating programs to use to make your art look the best it can in conjunction with a tablet. :3

It's a Bamboo by Wacom. And I use GIMP for my art, so everything works great.

What type of drawing are you hoping to do? I can reccommend some programs based on that.

I personally draw in an anime/manga style, but I try to make it more realistic when it comes to the bodies and hair.
Personally, I can't spend much more of my money, so I will stick to GIMP for now; It's a freeware image editor that works like Photoshop

Ooh, congrats on getting one. I recently bought a new drawing pen for a friend of mine. (Along with the Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya boxset for her as well...)

I know that happy feeling one gets when they get a tablet. I wanted one for nine years before I finally could get one. XD

I also have the same tablet as you with GIMP. I sometimes have a problem with getting the pen to work, if that happens, just restart the program.

Personally, I like GIMP better than Elements. I haven't the regular photoshop though.

No offense... but your parents aren't the brightest bulbs on the tree.

Do what I did; save and/or wait for a grant to come it (I'm a college student) and THEN get it.
