I have found a love for colored paper/ brown paper/ cardboard. and I would like to hear some crits from people. Just on the art please, not on the subject. I can draw some strange subjects, and don't want to hear about that. please.

AGAIN I SAID NO CRITING THE SUBJECT. THIS IS A OC OF MINE FOR A STORY I WROTE; HE'S A DRUMMER IN A HISTORICAL SOUTHERN ROCK BAND.

TeeHee. YAY dethklok.

I have no issues with your subject matter. It's all art to me.
Anyways, I like your style. The texture adds to it I think and I like the way the colors look.

I love drawing on brown paper too! It adds this great quality to drawings!
I like how you tend to draw and can draw full bodies, I can't draw feet to save my life :/

Thank you. I only said that because I know that some people are sensitive about the Rebel Flag. but thank you. I like the texture of cardboard.

Brown Paper artists UNITE!!!! Thank you. Feet aren't all that hard if you hide them in shoes! XD haha feet themselves are kind of difficult but with enough practice they can be fun.

No problem with the subjects at all, I don't see why anyone would. Maybe more curious on them instead?

I like the first image you posted first, I think that one is my favorite for some reason. Very different to see someone who likes to create things on cardboard or paper bags, but very creative.

Very nice indeed. =3

:o

I've never tried drawing on brown paper :>
As I can see it looks much the same as drawing on the usual white one, just looks more warm and a bit more interesting :D

The first one was actually done on newsprint paper, the tan kind that they use all the time in art classes. so not quite paper bags but close. Still a tinted and colored paper, it just accepts watercolor paint better.

The warmth and interest is what I love about cardboard and brown paper. The colors give a bit more punch and leave some texture on the art itself. try it out sometime!

Enorca: ABSOLUTELY! Art is a two way street, with wonderful things on both sides. I'd love to see your brown paper art!

It's kinda funny how some people get offended at something like that. I bet most people who get offended don't even know why the south really seceded. It had nothing to do with slavery or racism. People just need to learn their history and realize that for some people, it's a part of their cultural heritage. Oh well. Anyways, back on the topic, cardboard does have a great texture.

I personally like it, I like how it looks unfinished and rough and complete at the same time.
And your anatomy is pretty bang on too.

Encora: That's the wonder of brown paper, it's every where!
Ms_Amy: Yes Popping colors is the whole reason behind colored paper.
Phantom: Yeah, I love history, so I understand, but most people don't and jump to conclusions based mostly on sterotypes and mis-information. I just think it's an aesthetically pleasing flag.
Mystical: thank you
Chocolahime: I'm not quite sure I follow you, unfinished and complete at the same time? But thank you about the anatomy, it's mostly self taught. So I try.

I'm mostly commenting on the colouring. You get to have the brown of the paper shine through which I really like, when people finish colouring a picture they usually try hiding all their medium while you embrace it.
