If you work on the shading, the picture will look awesome. ^ O ^ The body shape is pretty good, and the hurr is Kawwaii. Put some purple eyeshadow under the eye too, and see what you get. I do that with my Manga Pictures, and it looks great. :'D
Hope this helps. Dx

that's really good, altho i think the eye might be a little too close to the edge of the face. move it in a little and it might fix it up a bit.

It really cute move the eye down a little maybe. the shading could use a little work, unless you mean for the picture to have multiple light sources. over all very nice work ^^

I like how you only have one eye showing, but maybe you could put the other one in the gap of the hair...That seems like that's where it should go...Maybe only have part of the right eye showing and the rest hidden by hair...

Overall it's a very nice picture :D

Wow. I really love this! Her eye is a bit too far to the side, and her left arm is a bit funky, but overall, I think it's great.

I find the picture and the coloring in it is beautiful. The people above me have already said their piece, the only thing I find off honestly is the breasts. Only because I see one long black line, with little shading or shape, it feels too straight to me. Even with smaller breasts, there should be some type of defining shade or color, but all I see is a crescent under the collar bone. Besides that, and what others before me have stated, I find it very nice.

I think it looks great. However, the breasts do look odd. the upside down "U" shaped mark on her shirt implies that her breasts don't touch, however, she has cleavage and shading like she has larger breasts that are squished together. At the same time, they seem too small all together for cleavage at all. The face is beautiful, though. So is the background and hair. :)

I really like this picture.
Especially the hair, that hair is just plain rockin'! ;D

The eye does look .0001% odd, but that doesn't matter.
Art is in the eyes of the be-holder, right? C:

Thats pretty good. The shoulders are a little odd, but it's proportional over all. I believe the nose could be raised a little, and what were those spots on the hair. lol;; It kind of throws of the look.

Try moving the eye a little lower and a smidge toward the inside of the face.

Also, her breasts. The line you put on her chest doesn't look very accurate. Also, the way you shaded her chest, it doesn't suggest she has breasts at all.

And the folds on her shirt. They look too dark and a bit random.

Just keep working at it.

Good Job So far! <3
From what I see the hair looks very flat except for where the highlights are. If you would have done the same technique with shading on the rest of the hair or even just where it would have darker shading then it would have looked much fuller and more realistic.
Also the chest looks a little odd. Her cleavage is going in an odd direction and, because that line looks weird, I can't tell if it's supposed to be cleavage or the curve of her body. Either way I think that line needs to be curved differently caus it's too straight. umm. Oh yeah, Also the chest (what you can see on the right) looks odd and very flat. Maybe you didn't draw out the body as much as the head but it seems like it's not moving in the right direction. Sorry if that sounded a little harsh please take it well.
Good job though the face looks great and I love the style. :)
Good luck! -Narule Mangaka

I do have to say that you have a nice grasp on line quality in this image. I do see some things you can improve on. I'll be honest with you and try to help you the best I can. Please do not take my critique personally.

I don't think you are really for coloring, my dear. Based on the colors and value that you are using in the background and in the figure are those that someone without much knowledge of color theory or value.

First off, the background needs to go, the basic photoshop brushes that you use make your image look extremely childish and cheap. DOn't use those brushes again, stay away. Bad.

Some things that you should keep in mind is keeping to a limited palette. Here, it seems that violet is what is used the most, so creating more violets in the skin tone and shadows of the hair will bring together your image. And color does reflect and bounce off of things, so if you wear a purple shirt it's bound to be bouncing off the skin.

Another thing to think about would be using darker values in your skin tones. Even if you have no pigment to your skin, the shadows will be very dark and saturated (since when objects get darker they do become more saturated). Based on the position and color of the light, your skin will have blues, browns, and violets in them. Some artists even add greens or cyan to skin tone. Adding darker values will also help you describe the form of the face, so it isn't flat.

What color is the light? Light always has color to it, whether it be yellow, orange, or cool blues, there is hints of color to light. Make sure that we know what color the light is. If you look at a color wheel and figure out that your light source is orange, the color opposite to it (the complimentary color) is going to be the color of your shadow. (Orange-Blue, Yellow-Purple, Red-Green). Thank about it, know it, and show it when you use color.

One last thing to think about is the reflected light. If you know how to use value, you should know about reflected light. (If you can't represent something with just value, you can't even start to color something) In your shadow, there will be a middle ground and then a core shadow (which is the darkest part of the shadow), but then it will lighten because of the light that is bouncing around the area that your figure is in. This will add much more detail to your work, and will also help define your forms and the lighting of the image.

The rest is general anatomy, composition, and design issues, which are being helped by others. But I thought that if you are working in color you should at least be thinking about these things. If you don't know how to address all of these design issues, I suggest working more in black and white value before you move on to color.

I'll list them again, just because they are so important:

:yumeh2:Don't use those cheap photoshop brushes in your background.
:yumeh2: Think about the palette you are using, and keep it limited!
:yumeh2: Think about reflective color
:yumeh2: Use darker values in your skin. (More contrast)
:yumeh2: Add color to your skin based on the color of your light source and shadow, pigmentation of the skin, and color of your reflected light.
:yumeh2:Know what color your light and reflected light is.
:yumeh2:Take advantage of bounced light in your scene to create reflective light, making your forms stand out.

I like the style. It almost looks like vector art. and the proportions are very nice. But everyone can always use practice in the folds in the clothes. try making them more subtle and practice the directionality. Also, when there is a change of color in her hair try to keep the colors solid, the texture makes it kinda busy and it starts to look unintentional.
I really like the color palette.
What program did you use? You seem very well versed with it.
The background is cute too!
:P

Yeah I agree with Anna_Crackers. Photoshop can kill quality in the face. Learn how to color with colored pencils or paint before you dive into Photoshop. It can be a fast track to disaster cause the cool effects are so tempting. You CAN use it to your advantage though, you just have to learn the ins and outs of the program. It's a medium of it's own. Also I'd suggest Corel Painter for art. Photoshop is what it says: a photo editing program. With Painter you can get much better artistic results and it's like actually using paints, charcoals, pencils without the mess and cost! It's like really painting. Good luck!

Narule_MangKa-
Photoshop can be used just as well, if not better than painter (since it does have some aspects that are a bit more user friendly and useful), and it can be used as more than a photo editing program. It is used in concept art and illustration by professional painters. It's all about how you use the program (more specifically the parts of the program you don't use).

Alright. I'm just saying that a lot of times you see artists that dive into Photoshop and it only makes their drawings look cheap. You can use it to your advantage but you don't want it to be a crutch.

@Narule_Mangaka - So more or less you mean, when an artist isn't ready to step into the digital mediums, like photoshop, it's best to stay away from them?

I wouldn't even say that though. I've met some people who just draw a heck of a lot better on softwares like painter and photoshop than they do traditionally. There's that, and even if they should practice more traditionally, it's always good to become accustomed to using digital means like a tablet and photoshop. No one is going to be incredible the first time, and sketching is still sketching, even if its digitally. I have teachers who practice their life drawing with photoshop or painter. No reason why one couldn't learn how to draw by sketching on either or :]
