Hair Fascinators

So over winter break when I didn't have my sewing machine I decided to do a little hand sewing. I ordered some basic barrettes and got to work:

Below are a few of my works, to see more go to my etsy: Sage of the Trades by SageOfTheTrades on Etsy
I will constantly be putting more up as I make them. I you have any feedback about what you like and don't like feel free to tell me below. =) Also if you want me to try something or if you have any idea for me to try I like those too!

Another of my favorites just added:

Oh wow ~
I love the first and second ones.
Especially Lace and Fur.

lol, I won't judge a guy for wearing women accessories ;) I believe in freedom of fashion from gender! =) (but a lot of people disagree =( )

Ha, I've always preferred girl's clothing.
But wearing it isn't worth the risk of getting beaten to a pulp unfortunately. D:

Yeah I know what you mean, people should be more accepting! It just makes me think some one is ignorant when I hear them bragging about how they beat some one else up for looking different.

The lace and fur looks amazing =3 ! Is sewing just an hobby, or do you work with it? It looks very professional!

Just out of curiosity, do you make much money selling the clothese?

I've been knitting, crocheting, weaving, making jewelry && sewing for quite some time and I'm wondering if I should try selling stuff myself. =/

I used to just do it for fun (I started when I was 5 years old), but I am now slowly trying to make some money off of it. But I hardly ever do a project that I don't enjoy working on (I only do those for good friends with special requests). So it is sort of becoming both for me. I say do what you love right! =)

Right now I am slowly making a few sales so I wouldn't quite say I am making a living or anywhere near that yet. These hair pieces cost anywhere from $8 to $30 dollars depending on how much time and resources I put into them, my formula for a sale is: supply costs + (hours worked) times $10 (this is a low wage, some people ask for a higher wage, but it is hard to compete with corporate factory made goods that pay their workers less than minimum wage, when you are a small craft business worker)
