Yes, I agree on the shoulders a little. Adding a little dip before you hit the actual shoulder bones would help with that.
Line:
-> If you're looking for a somewhat realistic anatomy, I may be brave enough to say that his head is rather long. It suits him, though. It's just something that I noticed.
-> His chin is rather pointy as well. Adding a slight curve to his left cheek (our right) might help in that. Be free to experiment. Again, it's only something I noticed, and it suits the style.
-> The hair is a good style for him; it's well balanced and fitting. My only critque for that would be to practice drawing braids. I find it easier when you start with a loose, light line where it will fall, or lay. Then start at the bottom, and work your way up. If you want an example of that, message me, and I'll doodle one up for you. :)
-> After thought: his ears should aim in the same direction. It looked a little odd.
Colour:
-> I like the style. I like the choppy fading quite a bit. You make it work.
-> Perhaps a little more/darker shading under the chin and on his neck would improve anatomy. Also note, shading the collar bones could make or break the image. Experiment with that.
-> The face is shaded very well. Kudos.
-> This is negligible, but there is generally shading around the part in the hair where the scalp is exposed. Maybe defining this a little more would add an interesting effect.
Whoa. Long post. Sorry about all that. Ha.
Remember, this is only my opinon. Read, and take what advice you'd like to.
You are your biggest influence.
Good luck! :)
