I just need a bit of critique on this pic I drew. I posted it up on dA a while back and all I got was 'Cool' 'Awesome' 'Sweet' and those sort of things. I need real critique. Mind helping me out with that? It'll help me with my art in the future.
Please and Thank you

O.O wow!!
First of all, I love the entire concept. Time, masks, power, it is all amazing and works so well together!
The hands are almost like beautifully sculpted talons.
The shading is wonderful, the entire value scale is used.
My eyes move all around the picture.
It is a very well crafted piece of art, I love it, good job!!

Thank you so much for that. I tend to go a bit OCD when it comes to using details and whatnot and use almost every shading technique I know of.
His hands have gauntlets on them, which is why they look like talons; though it's a bit hard to see that they are gauntlets >->
The character in this is one I made up. His name's Clockwork and he's an ex-Templar. Right now he's using his signature spell called "Judgment of the Thirteenth Hour"; hence the XIII on the center clock.

critique here? People post sweet, awesome and another same words because the don't have anything to say how beautiful your drawing is. First of all, i see that you have a very nice fantasy. Looks realistic, and it has very interesting design. I can congratulate you for the pose, that you can draw people from above, because for some people it hard. Nice work!

Thank you! ^-^ Yeah, I'm a fantasy artist; mainly an illustrator, due to the fact I usually do complex images correlating with the stories I am writing.

It is a good picture but there are lots of little things that jump at me
The scribbling on his robe makes him look flat. What's the light source that is throwing around shadows like that? Is his spell the only light in the room? What colour is his spell? If it's white it should throw that white light around and shouldn't be shaded, the gauntlets would almost disappear in the brightness. If it's a darker colour it should also engulf the gauntlets in the dark colour, if it's coming from his palms then the gauntlets should be heavier shaded or highlighted.
Are his gauntlets supposed to look like talons or was it a happy accident? Either way it doesn't look like his hands are in them, the one on the left has a finger that bends in a crazy awkward way.
It looks like you used a ruler/straight edge for the floor but didn't use a compass/lid/cup for the round bits [cogs are hard but if you really look at one you'll see the parts that connect with the other cogs are evenly spaced and shaped exactly the same.]

This is very gorgeous! I love the minute details like his hands and the mask!
Critique-wise, I'm a little confused about the light source. If the spell itself is generating light, try darkening the wooden floor around the conjuration rings... because the spell and the floor are sort of the same tone, it's flattening a drawing that could be breath-taking. There should also be more shadow over the gears in the floors, to give them a little more depth.
Bird's eye view is very tricky, so kudos for doing it so well. I love the sketchy scribbles in place of texture or shadow; I think it's very stylilized and you pulled it off well.

Is this a sketch or a drawing?
If it's a sketch, then over all it looks okay. I won't sugarcoat.
I'll give you my honest opinion.
If it's a drawing, over all it needs work. I'm not going to go into full detail but here's some stuff to work on.
Proportion of the figure.
Shading. Dark to light.
Try not make everything to in the center. You want the viewer to travel around your artwork.
