I was messing around with SAI and used one of my pictures to make this. It is a self portrait and I thought putting my camera in there would be neat since I'm basically taking a picture of myself anyways. I was going for something realistic but still cartoon-ish.
Anyways, a intro? Not good at these. I've been drawing since I was kid and I was fairly awful when it came to drawing. I've gotten better through trial and error, and I still have a ways to go-go. Haha.
I can draw both anime and realistic.

-This looks a lot better in person. It is on a poster board. Parts of it got cut out and others are easier to see on the actual thing >>
And honestly, what's more important is that your picture invokes a feeling! It's true art, even if you messed up in some places, and I feel a mystical eerie sense when I look at that dragon watching the fae
It's something I honestly don't see often enough, and that is truly awesome.
A friend teased you for the dragon looking like a horse? That's pretty harsh. It doesn't look like a horse, it looks really whimsical, as WinglessFairy said. I quite like the pirate girl too. Sitting on her booty. Get it? Get it?
Madmustache: That made me laugh!! I never would have thought of that xD
Thank you, by the way =) And he draws a lot himself so I think it was a mixture of teasing on his part and trying to find flaws at the same time.
Wingless: That just made me want to finish coloring it. Thanks!
The dragon is probably my favorite drawing because of that, I was surprised with how well it turned out when I finished it instead of a garbled mess.
@Beliar: Really glad that made you laugh! Haha, I thought I woulda gotten shot for that lol Anyway, that could be very true, but still I find that rather... mean lol I've gotten many comments like that on my art, and while it can be sorta funny, it's still mean haha. But I really mean it when it doesn't look like a horse.
MadMustache: I know how you feel about that; people used to make all sorts of comments about my drawings that I didn't like and for a good while I had no confidence when it came to what I drew, funny or not. I don't let it bother me anymore. And thanks! I'm happy to hear that he doesn't :D
