Warning: May have some nudity? It's pretty much mannequins...

Okay, so I was sketching a pose but I feel/know that there's something anatomically wrong about it. (Heck, maybe all of them.)
I'm going to redraw it, so instead of hit-or-miss the anatomy, I might as well as ask someone.

Those.. red lines thing? Are very much appreciated. Loved. And any tips on anatomy are loved, too. Praised.

(I currently only need that, but I think I'll add more art for critiques... Lately I've only been drawing commissions or art trades)

Well, I good place to look are pose referances. You can look at a real life person doing that pose and note lines and things like that.
My friend has a lot of good photos for drawing females, and these guys are really useful for action poses.

However, I know it can be kinda hard when you are just starting out and need to see something more basic then straight pictures.
this helped me out tons when I was just starting out, and there's tons of stuff like it on devart.

You could also borrow an anatomy book from the library or such, they can be helpful too ^.^
You could try one of the how-to-draw books from the bookstore, but avoid the anime/manga ones because about 90% of them are done by people who don't know what the eff they are doing >_>
It's not a reflection on what I think about manga/anime, because there are tons of good anime/manga, it's just that the anime/manga how to books tend to be badly drawn >.<

here I've collected some things I've found just while poking around~
This artist and this artist are also works I tend to look at for more simple line's that show anatomy ^.^

hope that helps some!

I agree with Wingless, start with a reference if you're unsure of something. Maybe try getting you buddies to act out a pose, if you can't find anything else. With the drawing you've presented, I think you already have the basics of anatomy down. The boy's arms are a little, however. Usually the elbows end by the hip and the hands fall mid-way down the thigh or slightly above.
Anatomy is a very difficult subject, so I encourage you to sketch tons from pictures, sculptors, and real people. Avoid using manga references, simply because, as Wingless put it, most people don't know what they're doing. Also, drawing the human skeleton and getting familiar with not only the outside appearances but the actual fibers of the human body helps TONS.
Great job with your art! I can't wait to see the finished product! :D

Thank you for the suggestions C: (I doubt I can ask someone to pose for me, though. They'll think I'll draw them and if I draw for one the rest follow... and all the other classes. Too much pressure.)
And Wingless, that tutorial is Incredibly helpful.
Now that I think about it, I'll look things up since I can't get anatomy books because my family probably won't approve otl. (I'm surprised my mother didn't comment when she saw the sketch)

Piptik; Understood, ma'am! I will watch and draw people more (while I try to not look suspicious).
I know how unreliable mangas can be, since sometimes looking at some is just painful. (I particularly dislike huge moe eyes. I don't hate people who draw them, but I mean, they're squares.)

Glad to be of help! ^.^

The internet is surprisingly full of artist aids!

lol, Wingless likes the really detailed manga art a lot of horror manga's and shoujo's have, but that's about it~
She will admit she has one big book of shoujo she got in Taiwan she'll occasionally look at for clothing techniques, as the clothes are all very well drawn in them ^.^

Mm, I think I can post some recent arts I did for feedback..

Oh, and first time using markers... (Faber Castell Connector pens, nonetheless. And copic for skin, but that's it.)

Any tips/techniques I should know?

You did really well with the marker one for your first time! The blending is nice, especially on the hair. The one thing that stands out, is that the way you coloured the lips makes it seem like he has lipstick on. That's the only thing that kinds bugs me, but I think you did a terrific job.

There's just a few anatomy things that stick out to me, but kind of hard to say without doing a redline. But you're on the right track, I think! Just keep practicing, and stuff. You're doing well C:

LOL The thought of him wearing lipstick is pretty hilarious xD
OTL I'm sad to say that the only copics/markers I have that resembles skin colors are YR00 and R02 copics and R02, the one I used for shading, is pinkish.
Or are you talking about the red stuff? Because it's supposed to be his mouth. Might not look like it.

Thank you very much! c:

ooh! Very nice!
I agree with the last poster, the coloring is superb!

There are a couple of minor anatomy issues, but nothing to disturbing;

@Hikai: Oh... Okay I see it now. He has his mouth slightly open. If you glance at it, it looks more like lipstick haha. Sorry! But looking at it again, I can see what you were getting at, and it makes more sense now. Only thing I can think of helping someone not make the same mistake I did (again, sorry!), is to make a darker line to show the inside of the mouth, and where the tongue is. Or even add some teeth. That can sometimes help.

But as I said before, you're on the right path, and I congratulate you for that! It's much better than some of my first drawings, haha

Lol it's okay! It's my fault anyways, and you just told me what you think is strange ^^
I'll keep that in mind, at least lining the inside.

WinglessFairy; Thank you! c:
