i think i just asked bebe what everyone meant by OC and she told me what everyone else said XD

I have two sets of OCs in my brain XD One pair is rather old, dates back to my fantasy addiction days : x

The others are more recent, done because of friend was asking me to write fics and I ended up writing one for my own characters because it'd be funnier XD The bad thing is that some of them are rather based on my own way of seeing things and my own feelings XD Maybe that's also what makes it easier to write >_>;;; They've all been neglected for months though :/

Elie: taking classes is good. If I could I'd take up Japanese major because there aren't so many class hours a week but it's far away from here - 1.30 hr drive - and so not compatible with my working schedule. All the more true since dad wants me to concentrate more on the shop when the truth is I don't care at all and don't find it fulfilling :/
I'd like to focus on languages but job options are limited when you're not a native speaker (as in half American/English/Canadian/Aussie or half Japanese because they're really fluent in both languages and are as such more sought after as translators or whatever). Though manga companies in France could really use people who're better at Japanese AND French: it's amusing to be able to retranslate the original text from a bad translation =_=

And yes, I wondered for a long long time what an OC was too XD *felt stupid and just pretended she knew at 1st* XD

Yeah i agree about that being a native part. I really wish i had grown up speaking japanese. My ethnic background is full Japanese but I as a 4th generation American can barely even speak japanese in random phrases, much less complete sentences >.>;;

tho i agree about some translators having terrible english... i can't even imagine how it is for french XDDD;;;

as with any languages you need places and situation where you can constantly practice XP

Elie: they have terrible French and terrible grammar, not to mention terrible spelling that barely gets corrected XD Why hire proofers when mostly teenagers read what you publish and can't spell any better than you do? XD

Some are married to a French person or have studied here, some are half but lately some are also fully French... So there's hope, provided you are a Japanese major XD (who, according to my teacher, can't speak in conversations and are at a lower level than they should be, since she told me not to worry if I apply for JET against J majors :/)
