Judge my art, critique plz!! 8D;;
My friend musado is a vet at this and wanted me to try and do a joint artshop/auction thingy... I'm not experienced with this sort of thing, no, I was never a Gaian and never did anything forum related except for Neopets. XD
Anyway, I was trying to do some computer drawings since it's easier and less of a hassle than scanning a picture in... but I'm finding it hard to draw on the computer. I feel very messy and my lines are a lot thicker than they are on paper. -_- Don't quite like it. (I do it cleaner on paper ;D~~) Please be honest and don't worry about being blunt, I will be glad to get honest critique since I want to improve and have some guidelines of what to aim for when drawing with the computer. Tell me if the art style is unappealing, if thick lines really turn you off. Thanks! |
hmmmmmm i like the first one but the last one looks like a bunch of scribbles. try filling it in and shading.

I congratulate you for the first and second one. I like how sketchy it both looks and the lack of color in the first is used well. ^^ But for the first Sasuke and Naruto picture, if you wish to have that style, you shouldn't have colored in the leash completely and stuck with the scribble effect. ^^ And the last, the scribble on it more. ^^ This time, it's too scribbly. Good technique though. I'll try that some time. ^^ |

I'm really enjoying the first one c: The last one is pretty sweet though, even though I'm not a fan of Naruto. I can't really get down with the erased lines on the 2nd though. That's just me though. You're a great artist either way ^^ Very nice workk~ |

O.o I kinda worry for Naruto in the third pic *looks like Sasuke's trying to hang or choke him* But still, pretty cool pic ^__^ Wait, did you scan your pictures then drew over it in computer or did you do all these pictures in computer? *and lastly, are you using a mouse or a tablet?* Yeah, practice helps a lot, and maybe, if you're not aiming for the scribbly effect, try to practice making thinner lines and like most artists, compare by using different sizes of lines on your artwork, you might like the effect ^___^ *sorry if you don't understand what I just typed, not that good in explaining in english >>;;;* |
@Rawrr__x: I will try to remember the shading technique. It never even ocurred to me that shading was a possibility when I was doing those pictures, lol.
@Bleeding Black Rose: xD I find your comment about keeping the leash scribbly like everything else intriguing. I never would have thought of that, hm, since the reason everything ended up scribbly was because it just ended up that way, not that I was trying to specifically do it in that style. XDD And oh, you explained yourself well, don't worry. :) I will try using thinner lines, it's just other times when I tried doing that the line itself ended up looking scribbly because it's easier to see where the pen shook... I think it helps if you use a really big canvas or something. And I did them all from scratch on the computer with a pen tablet. |

But, yea, the third one does look like a bunch of scribbles, and doesn't look that right. And the rope looks a bit too thin. x.x But other then that, your art is amazing and I really love your style on the first and second one~<3 |

I like it very much, but maybe you may need to do a little bit of work here and there if you know what i mean. i mean i like the last picture of saauke and naruto, but it kind of scares me, but oh well, there are may different people who like many different things! ^^ Keep up the good work! ^^ :D

Those are cute headshots, but on the first, I'd probably opt for thinner lines. While it may be nice for the picture to stand out, I think it's a tad too much. Maybe add some shading as well, or at least some simple celshading..
As for the second one, all I can say is probably add some eyebrows. xD And you should colour the 3rd. It looks cool so far. -Moki |
