[old post]oh yes, i finally got my hands on this program of which i've heard so much.
well, to tell you, i love it :D but i need a lot of practice :D
here's my first drawing:
as you can see, the eyes are fucked up [i shouldn't have tried to draw those ugly big eyes >_<, but regular ones ^^']
but i do love the skin and the hair [eventhough it's purple XD]
any hints/clues/critiques for my open canvas usage? :D thanks in advance^^

edit: oh yes, i mostly used the watercolor brushes and the oilpainting brushes^^

I think it's cute! Very good, especially for a first time!!

yeah ^^ i'm still exploring all the brushes and thingies i can do with it [while i SHOULD be working on 2 major things for school ^^']

which programs do you DO use?

i am familiar with photoshop :D but i've never ever heard of drawplus :o :D

• I've had Photoshop forever, but I haven't started using it in some photo projects until recently.
  
  Drawplus is awesome. Although... I know that it's not your average art program, so not a lot of digital artists like it. XD;

hmyes, i started using photoshop about a year and a half ago [when i bought my tablet] but i've had it for 3 years ^^ :D

Those are pretty good. :0 OC is a hard program, even though it's simple [at least, hard for me. xD Then again, I'm used to Photoshop.] I like the more realistic picture on the bottom so far too; the hair looks great. Good job!

it IS a big transition if you're used to photoshop :D the blending is different and the highlighting has to be done in another way XD ^^' :D but i DO like it :D it's quicker for me, for some weird reason XD

These are lovely, I especially like the second one, the colours are beautiful ^^ I find OC hard to use despite its simple interface, much more used to photoshop XD;;

That second one is great * O*.
The face is a little too blurry, but i think the hair is awesome.
You have skillz... xD
