Marina's Pixel Pier~ New Doll, Bottom p.3! :O

Base by Jishin, Hair/Panties Pallettes by Menewsha. So, I'm totally brand new to the concept, and kind of used the actual avatar for shading help on the hair until I develop my own style. What do you all think of my first attempt? :3 EDIT: I was fiddling around with the closed eyes that were part of the base set, and a trail of Easy Gif Animator, and here's what I came up with: http://img100.imageshack.us/img100/6...imationzj8.gif Constructive criticism instead of a synonym to "I like it" please? ^___^;; EDITEDIT: Decided to make this into a fullblown thread that I intend to update and discuss my work with others in. xD So, keep checking the title? <3 |

The hair is just gorgeous! It has the shine the shading, it's beautiful! And I love the little blush on her cheeks, it givers her that angelic look. The clothes could use some work, just so they look a little more clothey. Am I making sense? Well... I hope you know where I'm getting at.

Im with [Teh Artist], I'm new to Pixelling so please explain lol. I really wanna get into it as I love drawing but I just dont have the programs, only photostudio, project dogwaffle and ms paint.

Umm. Well. I just kind of dove head first into pixelling after viewing several of the Menewshan artists. It's kind of like and not like drawing, in that you always need line art before you start any of the filling in. Then as far as the coloring goes, I figure, if you're using a base, follow what lighting it has and just color semi-normally.
The only real difference between pixelling and drawing on the computer is that you >always< need to be in magnification until you're looking at what you've done. >w< |
How cute! <3 My only suggestion would be that maybe the hair be shaded a little more toward the bottom? But I maybe just be being nitpicky; overall, it's adorable, and I'm half-tempted to steal that animation OO: so nice!

Base by Jishin, Pallette by Kazal. A gift doll for DL for being such a sweetheart and encouraging my pixels and providing me with friendship. It was quite the interesting experience pixelling this for her, since it was my first attempt at animal body parts, too. xD I like how it turned out, and I hope that DL does, too. :3 Edit: Do any of you think I should do an auction just to test my worth as a pixel artist? Or just go straight for having a shop? |

And about the shop thingie, you could always do both? Try auction first and see how others rate it and then do shop rather auction goes well or not but I think you have good chance at it. ^^ |
