You might already be intending this but pleeease, don't use too much contrast? I think the beauty of this picture is in the colour, I really think having too bright highlights or dark shadows might make it less effective D: Minimal tonal difference pleeease?
Hmm, only thing there that I can see is that she has such a skinnyminny neck. But that's my stylistic think; I like 'em more realistic.
The strength of the profile in the second is wonderful. But I don't get what's happening with the hair- hard to tell since it's still a WIP.
The lips! Gorgeous.
I'm wanting to suggest you give him an adam's apple, because I think that little appendage would look really striking and make him more elegant. Too few pictures include it!
Your style is delightful! I love your blending.
I can't wait to see the finished piece n.n

Thank you,
tralala~! <3 I'm thinking about building up some more warm highlights, but she's going to have actual gold
on her so I'm not sure; I'd like some more contrast. If I do bulid up cooler highlights, I think I'm going to change the background color to something more neutral. I agree about the neck; it is too skinny; I'm doing this all on one layer in OC so as I'm correcting things I also end up thinning them at times, but her neck is going to be thicker by the end.
The hair is sort of alling down in front of him; I had to paint over some of it because where it
really is is right next to his face; if I had kept it there when I was painting his skin the skintone would keep picking up dark blue, which is really really annoying. The adam's apple suggestion is great, by the way, I'll probably end up moving his collar down so I can fit one in <3 thanks so much~!!
Thanks
Swordtear <3 I paint on one layer in OC to give it a more organic paint-y look.
Thanks
Lilim ~ I'm happy with these so far, but I know they can be improved. I'm excited about seeing this finished product myself, although I know what you mean about unfinishedness. I do so love sketches *___* they have such life & oppurtunity. & I'll keep that in mind about the colours~~ <33
