A character I made... Claire is everything I wish I could be.

Before you do I'll name off the problem areas...
The head is wrong. It's shape is at an angle, but I didn't draw her face at the same angle... so it looks weird like she has a fat side of her head...
Her forehead is huge, but I have a habit of drawing huge foreheads on most of my characters for some reason.

As for the colouring, it's supposed to be like that. It's a colouring style I developed ages ago that I've started to move away from, but I'm trying to get back into it. It's a simplistic colouring style that mixes cell shading, airbrushing, pattern use, basic colour and uncoloured art all together. Even though most people don't like it, I think it looks nice.

I like it.

Despite the slight angle problem with the head that you pointed out, it's perfectly fine.

I love the way it's colored and it is fine as it is, mistakes and all. It doesn't matter if there's a few flaws here and there as long as you're happy with it.

  The flowers really set it off, particularly with them being te only 'shaded' area.

• I like your style. It's very different and cute at once. I really see nothing wrong with it either. Her neck is a tad too skinny, but that doesn't matter. All I need to say now is... simply amazing.

• I really do like the coloring job you did on it, really looks awesome with the different types throughout the picture.

I kinda agree with missyTARD ` that the neck is too thin. I don't know, maybe it's just me, but the size of the neck make me feel stifled for some reason ^^;;;; (I sound weird I know =w= but I really feel that way). It wouldn't hurt to make the neck a little thicker, I think?

Aside from that, I don't really see anything wrong. :)

The proportions are a little odd, but other than that I love it.

The only thing I dislike is how the cream part of her dress looks. I couldn't decide what it was and I'm still trying to decide. If it's part of the dress (which is what I think it is >.>) making some pattern (I think lace would look lovely) on it or making it a slightly diffrent shade since it's so close to the skin color would fix any misconceptions. If it's the skin then making a few more lines to show muscels would be nice. :3

That part of the dress is white... it isn't coloured... it's the same colour her skin is, so if it's showing as a different colour you might have monitor issues ^.^;

It has ruffles on it and a crease toward the bottom. It's actually modeled after a shirt I made that looks just like it only there aren't little dragon flies on it, and the bow is red. The white part is a bib style collar. Adding a pattern to it would make the bottom of the picture too busy and would force your attention to be drawn downward instead of all over. If it were skin, there wouldn't be a crease at the bottom of it, and there would be a cleavage line. But never fear, I'd never design a character quite that... erm... provocative ^.^;

It looks great. I love the roses and the coloring. I like to color like that to (leaving some black and white and some colored).

Actually I like it a lot. It has its own style and flow from what I see. THough the roses distract me a bit from the face, I still like overall. Great job on it. Oh, and nice color scheme. :o

the outline color looks odd on the rose. Probably should change it to black.

I appreciate your critique... but I disagree.

I think it just looks a bit distracting, since oulines are usually darker than what they're outlining. ^^

Oh, and I just noticed: VIVIENNE WESTWOOD EARRINGS?! : D

while it is a bit not my style, the colors and detail are amazing!

you could use more outlining, and if you made the art a little smaller, it wouldn't hurt.

overall I give it a 8/10

I love Vivienne Westwood. I have a lot of knock off items ^.^; But I can draw the real things into my artwork, so it makes me happy.
