Hi and welcome to Green Dream. I'm your host, Gabi! You may know me as Gabihime or Gabi-princess, depending on where you know me from, but just call me Gabi and we'll be square! I decided it would be fun to put together a gallery here on Mene, so here I am, doing just that! <3 I am a CG artist who works mostly in pencil, so that is what you'll see here :3. I appreciate comments and thank you, but please try not to say anything horribly harsh because I have a fragile ego XD. II. About the Artist -- Tools and Tendencies
My name is Gabi and I've been doing CG work since 1999, and by that I mean finished CG images that began as a pencil sketch and finished as a (possibly) lovely CG image. Of course, like all kids my age I'd mucked around with graphics programs before, but it it's really from '99 that I date my strange CG oddessy from! Everything I do, with a few exceptions, starts with a pencil sketch. Most of the time I don't ink my lines because I have no faith in my inking and I do have a lot of faith in my pencils. This makes my art less than popular in some venues, but I like it personally, so I mostly don't care XD. I color with a tablet, an old school Wacom Graphire I with no pressure sensitivity since I think the stylus has been dropped too many times XD. I use Photoshop CS2, Painter 9, and OpenCanvas 4 to color, depending on what I'm coloring and what I want it to look like! I'm pretty comfortable in all of these programs, but they're all different and they all have pros as well as cons! I started out coloring in PS back in '99, if anyone is keeping track XD Otherwise I do my linework with Derwent Graphic pencils or with BiC Mechanicals, often with both. I draw on anything from heavyweight drawing paper for my oversized pieces to brightwhite photo paper for a lot of my work. I scan on an HP 4200C which has recently kicked the bucket x_x. Hopefully I will succeed in securing a new scanner this month. I am an artist at a commission shop on Gaia along with someone else with a lot of hair! Um, what else XD. I have several years of drawing classes and graphic design at the university under my belt, um, I draw in two major different styles: semi-realist and wide-eyed-twinkle-nan-desu-ka and I enjoy both styles :3 They're good for different things! |

Thank you very much :D Color is very important to me! It's what I enjoy doing most of everything I think XD.
I even love to color lines for my friends because it gives me the chance to color shapes I would not usually color! |
