Doodles.

Just one for now. Really new to this place, looking around... did a tiny doodle of my (currently) naked little avatar. But she's cute.

Might be a bit big. Just a face shot~.

I like it. :]
It's kinda simple but looks good.

Have you tried coloring it ?

stasianime 10-11-2007 11:36 PM

It's really cute ^.^ hope to see more<3

All of my art is pretty simple. Detailing isn't always my thing, and sadly, neither is coloring. I'm working on it, but my lack of being able to shade properly really hinders it.

I might put up a pencil drawing later, they're much better, I think... I just don't want to dig out my scanner. Poor thing. Covered in books and sketch pads. So very abused.

Moon 10-11-2007 11:43 PM

I love coloring.
But I love b&w too.
Hard stuff.

Gimme yo scanner naw. :]

Ginn 10-11-2007 11:51 PM

Nooo, my scanner is my precious. Its old, but works fine. Its like... a third lung? o_O;

The expression and the pose is nicely done. The few critiques i have are to taper your lines a BIT more... Also, maybe it is my computer's resolution, but the lines are a bit fuzzy. If you have an image program, you can alter the Curves or something like that to make it smoother. Yes, I'm nagging and my lineart isn't better anyways... ._.;;;

Last thing is that the eye that is farther from the viewer is kind of sticking out of the person's face... The perspective looks okay compared to the front eye, but maybe shift it a bit?

Another last thing, I lied. If you're not very good at colouring the entire picture, you can just change the colour of your lineart to make it look fancier!

yh they are a little fuzzy on my own computer as well, and color would be sweet ^_^ paint works

My art program is very silly. I know its not great, but its what I got. I can see half a million things wrong with it, but its just a doodle.

Not complaining about the critiques and advice, I appreciate it very much. :3

I just like to toss out crap-doodles for giggles. And this is one of them. xD

blueangel84 10-12-2007 02:29 AM

I'm not bad at shading, but I still can't color either.
I think after a couple of years of practice I'm starting to get it, thought. ^-^;

Ginn 10-12-2007 06:13 PM

Thank you everyone, I feel very flattered. :3

The art program I have... I just can't color with it. It and I don't have a good relationship with coloring. >_>;
