To explain it very simply...There are sub catogories in manga. Those being shoujo, shounen..Then those have sub-catogories. These two drawings are in two shoujo sub catogories. First one is the more shoujo manga one. The other one is shoujo, but in the sub-cat of a certain bl style. Pointy chins is the main thing...

What I want to know, which one do you think is better?

I love the hair of this one.. The only thing I would change is the eyes. I haven't drawn like this in awhile. I did this over the summer...

This will be labeled one.

This will be labeled two. I developed this style in the fall. Mainly this was due to likeing a certain style of BL drawings. This one was drawn in the past month.:

I like the second one because I m a sucker for color. To me they look like the same style only one is colored.

Okay, since people don't seem to be understanding it 100%, I changed it. Now, which drawing do you like more. Based only on the faces.

Hmm.. I agree with Lovvy. The style is pretty much the same to me as well.
But regarding style, I think the only person that can answer is yourself. You're the artist so go with what you like. You may be influenced by others around you but in the end it your own opinion that matters when it comes to your own artwork.

Just keep practising~ These sketches look pretty good so far~

By the way, what's BL? *cant figure it out*
Sorry... I'm a bit slow :P

BL is boy's love. Aka shounen ai. I like this one artist's art, and it has pointed chins so I went with it XD Thanks though. I want to know which ones people like best, mainly because I want to open a shop on here eventually..I think I'll spend more time drawing though.....

Ah~ Boy love! I get it now~
I see~ Good luck! I didn't practise drawing anime style for a long time and now I can only draw chibis. I'm quite sad about it. Have to start practising again... So yeah! Don't stop practising XD

To me art is what you want it to be.
Art is everything, As long as you can do a line or scrible its art ^_^

Anime confuses me. Aside from the hair and the darkness of the lines, both people look exactly the same.

The two faces are exactly the same except for the subtle flip of the mouth
