UnFREEz - How to make an animated GIF (finally ya?)
 

Ok guys, I've read so many posts on this forum about how to do animated GIFs. There are many ways, and here's one. It's a program called UnFREEz.

Downloading it is really fast, it's not much of a big file, way less then a regular JPEG image! Anyways, I first got this program from someone from gaia. I kept bothering them about it and finally they talked to me on AIM, and transferred the file from there.

Now how it works is first, whenever you're making an animated gif, you need frames in gif. Frames is just another word for pictures. Most people with common sense will know what I'm talking about, so I'm not even gonna explain that part. Now make sure all the pictures are saved as GIF otherwise it will not work. Also, here's a tip. If you have a picture in MSPaint and you save it in GIF, it will distort the color. To prevent this, save the image as GIF in another program such as Photoshop.

Okay, now to really explain how to use it... Open up the program. Open up the folder or whatever that you have your pictures in (so you can see all the files/pictures). Make sure you can see both windows at the same time, as in don't maximize anything. To add frames, you drag. Drag pictures one by one into it. You can also drag multiple pictures by selecting and dragging multiple pictures, but it gets a little bit screwed up, so I don't recommend.

There's 2 buttons that help in deletion on the program. "Clear All" deletes all of them so you start out a new slate. "Remove Frame" deletes only the selected file.

There's also another part that says "Frame Delay". Here, the higher the number, the more lag there will be between frames (it will move slower).

Right above that is "Loop Animation". Most of the time, you want that to stay checked because it makes your animation keep on going, instead of stopping after 1 time.

Then, last but not least is the biggest button that says "Make Animated Gif". Click that and save the gif and you're done!

i always get an error, it says "its not the right format" or something like that
