http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v4...Juliaagain.jpg
Lookie! Jaded's latest arting!!! I wanted to practice coloring with colored pencils... Considering how my first 2 attemps went I think I've done all right... I'm only looking for crit and advice on how to improve my colored pencil technique... So ummm... help? |
Since I make my art with photoshop..
I don't know how I can help you improve you skills '^^ BUT I do know shadowing xD hahaha as for the hair.. make dark parts and some lighter parts.. then add the Shiny areas :D not to much D: for being a practice picture its quite good :P |
Wow, that's some good art =o
The shiny areas to the hair could have been added a bit differently. But overall, that's one beautiful piece of art =) |
Wow, that's very good! I'm not the greatest at shading and using colored pencils, so i'm kinda jealous. xD
Very good job!! |
That's so pretty! I;m pretty bad at coloring, but the lighted area of the hair could be larger and used less( like light a bit under the top of the head and a bit at the bottom of the hair).
ME LIKES!!! |
I like how you colored the hair (;
I know that I could not do anything better. Haha. I'd probably just color her hair in one solid color with a few black lines. x]]!! Great job ;D I tend to color art for online things on photoshop but yeah o____o; Again, great job :] |
Very nice. Except the bust looks strange, and the right [our left] eye looks kind of funky. And when you compare the hair to the tang top, the tang top looks so plain, add more shading there and maybe it'll look better ^^
|
The bust is odd and so is the shine on the hair, imo.
|
Well,Thats pretty good in my opinion.
The hair is great but there's alot of shiney-ness in it o.x I love it though.Keep up theGreat work. |
Colored pencils aren't my thing, but I did notice a couple small issues on your [awesome] art ^^
1) The area near the roots of the hair is really messy - Make sure you're coloring in curves and not just straight lines. 2) A lot of shadow is missing. The roots and ends should be darker than everything else. You've got highlights, but not shadow, so it looks a little odd. 3) On your highlights, don't be afraid to stretch them out a little. They're a little too compact. You might want to try longer strokes leading into the shine and a bigger light colored area. Experiment with it a little :) Overall, it's really pretty! I definitely couldn't do something that good with colored pencils. |
