New edit:

Two versions ago:

I've been working on it for a couple weeks now. (Without a photo.) Because it still doesn't look like the right person. First, I want some one to redline the blatant anatomical errors. And the minor ones too. Lord knows they're there, I just can't see them any more. Been looking at it too long.

Then help me make it look like the right person. I just know I'm missing something obvious. I continue to be without a decent three quarter view shot of this guy. Being a singer he's always got his mouth open, or a mic in his face. I found one in a vid of an interveiw, but he's about to speak and has kind of an odd expression. Kind of a chipmunk with food in his mouth type thing. ^^

Some reference photos:

Google pulls up a few more. This is Tom Smith of 'Editors'. Because that's who it always is with me.
Beautiful man that he is.

Help?!

Hello! I think you are doing just fine *nod*

I'm not that familiar with the character and I only based it on the reference photos... so my suggestion can also be full of error >_<; anyway, here is my try:

Tip: the folds on the cheek and wrinkles on the forehead are prominent, it does make the character look older/mature [edited: right side], you got the eyes just right but it should be a little bit smaller.

Hope that helps. :D

I actually liked this picture frm the first sight. You rarely see traditional art these days. Well, if I hadn't seen the actual potos of this persn, the work would look totally perfect for me. However there are few mistakes that Tal already mentioned. As for me I think I should add th fact that his nose is a bit more pointed, that you drew it.
Good luck with your work!

personally, I think the left hairline should be moved right a bit, and the pupils look too small. Other than that, you're doing a wonderful job! I love the shading!(<--can't shade for her life)

Thanks so much guys! So helpful.
I followed all your suggestions (though I kept some forehead lines, I don't know how else to signify that his brows are somewhat raised. I'd drop the eyebrows down, but that would require reworking the eyes too. Does he look 26?)
Thanks for the call out on the eye/iris ratio. I couldn't figure out what was wrong. I'm working on that further tonight.

Oh... and I hate to pop your happy bubble, but this is CG. I'd do it traditional, but I'd have destroyed it entirely several times over and probably used up all my paint. ^^

Once I get it right, I'll definitely paint it for real.

Here's the new edit.

In short, I reworked the lines that were relined (works super well I think <3). Widened the irises. Messed with the jawline, which I still feel is wonky.
Blurred some lines, sharpened the ear, re-shaded part of the neck and gave him a haircut. ^^

More help would be adored.

Thank you three so much. <3
