I got a Wacom intuos for Christmas and I've been having much difficulty as far as adjusting to it but I feel like I've finally gotten the hang of it. So I decided to do a painting of a new OC whom hasn't been named yet ^^;; So as I've been working on it I thought maybe when I'm done I should add it to my portfolio for college admissions. Yes, no, maybe?

It's kind of early in the game to decide just yet but some critique would be nice :3 This is only about my 4th painting so be gentle ^^;; Any other thoughts and advice would be awesome...and yes I plan to give him arms eventually XD

One thing I've noticed is that I should probably add more shadow to the upper bridge of his nose.... *runs off to do that*

I know if I decide to go with bleach blonde that it'll need some darker bits in the part.

its a pretty style for a boy u got there[ i assum its a guy right?XD]
the nose is very well done and well painted overall

the face proportion is very much off, but if that is just ur style, i cant say much[ cept the small mouth is kinda..funny?XD]

hm..wtelse..maybe more contrast to add depth..its kinda flat still

I adjusted the mouth a bit and I totally see what you mean about that ^^;; Don't why I didn't catch how odd that was XD Gracias ma'am.

You've got some skills there. Well done so far.

The big issue I've got is the neck. It's pretty much huge, especially with his tiny chin (stylistic choice?).

Not really XD I just haven't gotten that far to work on it. I have a bad habit of working one part until it's almost finished and completely neglecting the rest.

I can relate, I'm only just starting to shake that habit.

I like the bleach blonde hair better in my opinion. It is definitely going to be a really good one once you are done. The freckles are uber cute, too. A nice touch.

Personally, I like the bleach blonde better. And I don't know if this was intentional, but the whites of the eyes look very much the same shade as the skin, so I'd make them more gray/white if I were you.

The skull, freckles, and facial coloring are my favorite parts.

I agree with what Penny said about the neck/chin.

I prefer the darker hair personally, but I'm sure that the bleach blonde will look awesome when you add the darker pieces.
