Tell Me What You Think. Open To All Opinions.
I haven't painted anything in quite a while. Work takes a bit out of me and daily/weekly/monthly expenses leave me with little to work with for supplies. Say anything you want about my art. There isn't anything you can say that will hurt me or that I haven't heard before. But here is some stuff I have done in the past:
Glowing Death (Done on Sand Paper with Chalk Pastels, it's meant to be fuzzy, don't comment on the fuzzyness. Sand paper isn't the easiest to control sometimes ^_^) Lust (Done on Canvas with paint. The small writing on her dress arms spells 'Purity' in runes) Sin (Done on Canvas with paint) Vampire Kisses (Done on thick paper with Oil paints, watered down ink, paint, and pencil) |
I don't know... To be honest, I don't really like them. Try to put more time into the details and stuff because they dont' really catch my attention.

work on bodies and faces..that's it.. umm.. you'll get better I'm sure... You have potential. ^^

Try more details. Everything seems a bit bulky and out there. The vampires kissing seem to don't enjoy it. I would work a bit more on side faces with an anatomy. There's always time for practicing! :D. |
Hmmmm... to me I would say you need to work on things a bit more. Please take your time, experiment,, and above all remember with art to just have fun! I would purchase a few drawing books perhaps, learn to sketch from them and just, again practice!
If art is your hobby or your passion don;t give it up and keep heading forward. We all have to start out somewhere after all, you know? |
Especially with Lust, the people look flat.
Critique for the male: - The torso makes him look like a badly-proportioned female without a chest. ^^; Try looking at references or other anime drawings done by other artists. You'll notice how the hips and waist line up. - The head looks scrunched into the body without a neck. Remember that no matter what position he's in, he always has a neck. - The shoulders look extremely unnatural. >.< They are raised at an awkward angle. - His hair is kind of blotchy and undefined. There aren't any seperate strands; the hair is merely blocked in. The two bits of hair on either side of the head need to line up. - The eyes are too high in the face. Remember that even if you cover the area above the eyes with bangs, there still needs to be room for eyebrows and a forehead. - He doesn't convey any emotion. There's no lust on his face, infact, he looks like he has no idea where he is or why he's there. Critique for the female: - The leg looks strange; the dress is draped over the thigh in a curve. Legs aren't bendable. - She looks like she's falling off the platform you have her laying on. Try to position people nearer to the middle of the platform instead of the edge. - The thighs are too thin; try a reference of someone in that pose. - The hair looks like it's plastered to her skin. With the position she's in, the hair would fall back instead of sticking to her in that way. Try using a reference if you have to. There is no shading throughout the picture. ^^; Sorreh, this was kind of harsh. You have potential. My advice; buy a few drawing books and study anatomy/proportioning. |
Glowing Death: The moon is too bright. Waaaay too bright. If you're going to have a dark picture, somehow fade out the white, or turn it into grayish or something.
^___^; Lust: YOu should shade in his body. It looks like it's cardboard. ANd as for his clothes, make them more...drapey? :3 I think my favorite is vampire kisses. :3 |
