Certainly not a bad start at all! The textures are interesting... however I would suggest to rework the lace border there. It is not really symmetrical, and thusly makes that part look a bit rushed.

I agree with Leona on both texture and the lace, it might just look a little odd because the puffy parts of the dress are cut off, but the bottom being asymmetrical looks a little off too. It's very pretty though, I love your color choices and the hair piece is a nice touch.

Oh yeah! The other stuff! Umm.. I can't really tell what the Peace thing is, but it's captivating anyway, and the black and white sketch is pretty good! I love the hat and your eye style.
Two crits on the b&w - her lips seem a little lop sided.. but then again her head is turned, I dunno. And then the line on her neck seems a litttle dark and her jaw a littttle long, it'd be more feminine to me if those were a little less dramatic. The colored girl is pretty! You're gonna turn her eyes white and colored, right? <.<; I love the shaded version's hair, and the dress and stuff is pretty both ways. She's a little anorexic looking for that large of a face, but that could just be style preference. I'd start her hip up closer to her right (from view's perspective) elbow if it's not too late to change it. I'd love to see the finished version! ^.^ Don't give up hope, keep posting! |
I feel that some of the shading is off and the non-symmetrical doesn't bother me so much as the shading.
I think the puffy things next to the bodice need to be a more distinguishable color different from the bodice, maybe the pink to match? I really like the your style of drawing the head. I think you should color it. As for the icon, *shrug* I dunno what to think of it. It's pretty neat. |
@Lania: The peace sign is two people me and my friend jacob, I jumped on his back and scott snapped a picture and then I wasted an hour fiddling with random filters lol on the line art the features are all lopsided which is why I'm not sure I should colour it or just redraw it :\
