can you make them smaller?

Aww... All those replies, and not a word about the art, that's borderline cruel xD
I'm gonna go ahead and guess you don't have a scanner... which always sucks v.v but if you've got any kind of graphics program more advanced then MS Paint, you should shrink them a little and brighten them so people can see the lines. A great program for this kind of stuff (and it's free, ya can't beat that...) is Gimp. As for the art, they're adorable! You've obviously got heads and faces down pat ^.^ hands are just... impossible for everyone xP so I'm not gonna rant about that, thus my only crit would be on the fellow with the 13 on his shirt - his left arm is a wee bit small. You've got a lot of potential. |

Oh my... yes you should make them a slight smaller but its alright since I have hispeed these days. *laughs softly*
Hmmmm... as for the artwise I think really you should focus upon your hair quite a bit more. Learn to make it flow, experiment a slight! It will pay off with time. Also, speaking of things that pay off, practice! Even if it is just a sketch a day, you have potential and it will grow with each sketch whether you realize it or not. The same can be said about coloring. Don't just settle for one thing. Keep practicing, keep experimenting, and try a bit of shading too! Trust me, these things with time will make your art shine! Okay, hope this helps and take care! |
I assume you don't have a scanner. Don't worry too much about it. Here is a good tutorial on Deviantart about getting your images into a computer with a digital camera: Clicky
Anyway, onto your art itself. The thing many people here have mentioned is cropping. Please crop your pictures to get rid of the white space around them. Simply put, get rid of everything from the pictures except the picture itself. The first one is decent. I like the way the hair and eyes have a similar colour. They match very well. Also, you convey his expression very well. But what is that red stuff on his nose? Is it sunscreen? Its hard to tell, so you should make it easier to tell what it is. Also, he looks a bit flat. You're using pencils, so adding volume should be rather easy. The second image is very similar, in a very similar pose. I think the colours look good in this one as well, and he has more volume than your first picture. I like that. I also like his teary-eyes. Very nicely done. But his arms seem a bit thin and his hands look like stumps. His sleeves look a bit odd, and the logo on his shirt is off-center. I hope I helped you improve your art. |
