It's a Menewshan avatar drawing for an art contest. First avatar I've done on this site, I feel happy about it.

Stuff not to comment on:
-Awkwardness of arms.
-Misaligned nose.
-Overly lined eyes.

Why? Because I know all that stuff, and hearing it again just makes me feel bad. :]
The eyes bothered me even when they were just in pencil, actually. But they left serious eraser scars, so I just put them back in. .____.;;

O__o I really like that border and the details on the headpiece :3 I'm soo guessing that the border took a while~ all these tiny swirls and lines, arches, curves ._.

They did take much longer than I thought they would. Three periods in school of doodling.

But that's like my signature doodle. I used to fill entire pages with it. So it did take a while, but it wasn't too difficult. :]

Wow, I love it. The face is a little weird but I over all love it x3 Wish I could draw and your swirls are just perfect.

I really like it. well, not exactley my style, but still. Your lines are good and such a great detail. t seems you've put a lot of effort in this picture.
How long did it take you to draw and to do the lineart? Just interested :3

@Aonith:
I'm not sure... I started it yesterday morning, and worked throughout the school day. The lineart was done by around 7 pm, but then I started on dots and designs around the lineart, which dragged into today...
So the lineart itself probably took about four hours altogether, ignoring breaks taken to pay attention.
Everything else took an additional hour.

@MelonFairy:
Haha, have fun. Just make sure you're not copying right off my doodles, they should come from you. :]

I see. Thank you. As for me, I also usually don't count the time I spend n each drawing, but still. it's smetimes rather interesting to know, how other people are doing.
anyway, i wish you good luck on the contest <3

I don't count either, I just kind of sat there calculating. xD
It's not like these were five intensive hours. I have untreated ADD, so I frequently stop working on my main drawing to doodle on the edges or write on the sides. It's just that I erase all that stuff; I don't ink it. I also get up in the middle of drawing, or just stare at my drawing in confusion.
No focus over here. ^___^

Well yeah, I understood.
I also can't stay focused on one work for long time either.
Oh, does it happen with you, when you are like drawing something then stop for a moment and put it away and eventually forget about it? And after few months find it and continue drawing? It's just that I started my last work ( that is finished only now) in the october xD

That actually doesn't happen with me. I obsess over tiny details, so every drawing I do is better than the last. This means that after a few months of forgetting, I've improved to the point where I wouldn't even want to touch the old drawing.
Eventually I'll stop improving so quickly. I think it's because I've only been drawing for two and a half years now, so my level is still catching up to how I see.
