Being in community sites like Menewsha,
and specially when there are events going on,
usually the users will end up staying up very late
or maybe even skipping sleep all together,
and end up being an insomniacs. xD

So what kinds of musics
do you usually listen to
when you're staying all night
awake and online like that?

I [typically] listen to much the same music when it's nighttime as I do during the daytime.

The exception to this is in the summertime (like now) when most of my daytime music is nothing chaotic at all, because I'm already overstimulated by way too much freaking heat (seriously, I'm melting to death!), and can't take anything that makes me even mentally dancey or anything of that nature. Once the sun goes down, though, it's not too hot, and then I'm okay. So lately my nighttime has been bouncy happy music, while the daytime is calmer, much more mellow stuff, if it's even on at all.

But if it's not summertime, or in general freakishly hot, it's all mixed. I can go from a really calm pretty instrumental into something semi-techno-ish, and then into something resembling screamo (though mild on the screaming, thanks), and onwards... All sorts of things. ^^;

Uhmmm...usually I listen to the same type of music as a normally listen to. I might listen to more metal bands if I am trying to stay awake. Generally my music taste is rock/hard rock and metal.

Like snowbunny I pick the more lively and bouncy tracks to listen to at night.
So one the rare occasions that I do stay up late, I'll listen to Mindless Self Indulgence...or maybe some Metric. xD

Hm. Interesting topic.
To stay awake, I tend to listen to harder and more lively stuff. So I'd have metal, or alternative rock that has an edge of metal or screamo. Maybe some upbeat electronica.

Well, I can never sleep and don't have headphones,
so I just listen to the silence and humming of my computer.

When I'm staying up late
I listen to songs that are really fast and peppy--
rap, hip-hop, some pop, screamo, techno, and songs I can sing along to : D

When I'm trying to sleep...
I listen to Tokio Hotel.
>.<
They're good, but their music makes me so sleepy ^^;;

I usually just start listening to my iTunes playlist straight through. In alphabetical order. Seriously, I find all the stuff I never listened to just by doing that. I find alot of songs I forgot about or didn't even know I had, and end up LOVING that way too.

A few weeks ago, I found a Tegan and Sara song that hadn't been labeled (Untitled 01) so I must have got it from a friend or something. Anyway, it's my favoriate Tegan & Sara song now, and I had no idea I'd had it for... a year or more.
