Hmm well I was bad and didn't use standard dimensions cause I got some ears going on there haha.
It's 346px × 113px though. Going with about the same size wouldn't hurt though.

Yeah, I used yours as a guide, but I rounded. Mine's 350 x 110.
Should we use some standard text in there? In the style of our respective threads, but... Something like "Member of the Mene Music Network" or whatever we decide to call it? (WMMN?)

Member of the Mene Music Network is kinda long for such a small space? It's not good to have banners with tiny tiny font.
I'm fine with making it 350x110 though ^^

That's true... My own siggy banner's font size is not great. We could abbreviate it. Something like MMN Member Station?

Oh! What if we made a little WMMN stamp, and it looks the same and is on both? Like a logo.

How about I whip one up while* you're filling the car?
What letters should it be? I'm not good with making that stuff up lol.

Sounds good to me. You're a great designer. It should probably be something pretty generic that wouldn't clash with other designs, though. oO Something new members (and I hope we eventually get them) can shrink down and add to their own banners. If that makes sense.
The W is probably just silly. It's a network, not a radio station, so... Just MMN? That way, each thread would be like a member station.

I was thinking about making it look like a stamped logo haha. But yes pretty plain.
Ok how about "member of the MMN"?

Makes sense! I like it.
Or just MMN Member? I'll leave it up to you. Individual banners on threads can spell it out or not as they please. Okay, off to feed the car, then I can come home and play. :)

Ooh... tough question. Generally what I like could be put somewhere in the "rock" genre, but there's plenty of rock that I don't like... Lately I'm just falling in love with a little bit of everything. So you could probably throw anything at me provided it has good lyrics and a talented delivery. Those are pretty much my only criteria.

Yeah, I remember hearing Black Horse & The Cherry Tree on the radio. I'll give those others a listen, though. Thanks!

I think it must have gotten a lot of play, Cherry. Since some American Idol contestant that year decided to perform it not once but twice. Which helped KT's career in the States. One good thing that show has done, the other being helping that one girl get treatment for her diabetes.

Yeah, it was a pretty well-played single.
Thanks for linking me to those songs! Those were quite good. :) I just might have to add a CD of hers to my massive list of CDs to buy.

I'm sure. Not that it didn't deserve the air time.
That's what the thread is for, right? :) And no problem. I know all about the list of CDs thing. The newest Sarah McLachlan album tempted me quite a bit at the store today, but there are other albums I want more than that one. One of these days I'll hit Amazon and stock up.
Um, with KT's... Let's see, the first one is quieter and more introspective. There are some louder indie pop/rock-like tracks, too, but for the most part, Eye to the Telescope is pretty spare. In a good way, don't get me wrong. Um, Drastic Fantastic is loud right out of the gate, with more emphasis on that indie pop/rock sound than the quieter acoustic stuff. Acoustic Extravaganza is, well, acoustic, recorded in someone's living room in Scotland, and it's definitely the most raw of the three. I love it. There's a Beck cover on it, too, if you like that sort of thing. They're all good, just very different.

Welcome back Cica! Soda's got signage for us. And *cough* The reason I was hanging around that thread in Mene nations cause it looked like a prime candidate for MMN don't you think? Lol, oooh secret motives..

Oh! Also, the Celtic Music thread, maybe?

Yeah I don't really think it should be there either. The Celtic thread is a great idea. :)

I made Two free banners for the people who don't have their own. And possibly for signatures for people who support it. And I made a cool sign for the MMN section of my thread.

Yup you are welcome to do a colour overlay to match your banner too. I just gave some basic variant colours. :)
I'm going to make my reserved post a section explaining what MMN is and have pre-made code for sigs/affiliates linking to that specific post. Not that I'm trying to traffic to mine of yours. Its just I don't think MNN really needs its own topic and that way there's a location for it.

Oh I made the premade banner/sigs have a half size variant in case people wanted them smaller.. I just thought it would be good to have.

You're welcome to post all that stuff in your post area too. Including the premades. I'd just like a small credit for the banners. ^^
