Oh man, on the radio show today I dug up a TON of old obscure garage bands; there's this guy I knew from New York who everyone calls Beatle Bob because he goes to cons in a grey collarless nehru suit, and he has this great collection I've gotten stuff from.

There is always something out there from those old days of vinyl waiting to be discovered. I actually had never heard of Dave Dee, Dozy, Beaky Mick & Tich til Tarantino used one of their songs in a film; now I listen to em all the time.

I like garage stuff mostly, but some of the full on psychedelia and early prog rock is fun too. If you have never gotten it yet, check out a compliation box set called Nuggets; it has so many one hit wonders and obscure bands you would never bump into any other way.

It's a given I like a lot of classic rock stuff too- still a big Beatles fan, but I also love Doors and Hendrix and Cream and Gong and Pink Floyd and add-all-the-other-squillion-bands-here- but finding the rares is a big passion for me too.

There is a CD that I once had on cassette called Cambodia Rocks. This is a bunch of Cambodian bands from that time imitating the sounds they were hearing on American and European radio. It's great party music!

The Beatles are my all time favorite band mostly because of the different eras you can get to hear by listening to their music.
Along with The Yardbirds<3

I like 60s music but I was never fond of the Beatles. However, when I was 9, my mom bought this album when we were in England, called "Sixties Summer Love" and you can probably guess what kinds of songs those entail.

More recently, we bought this album back in December called "Pop Memories of the 60s" which includes "Hello Dolly" (a personal favorite), "Unchained Melody", "Release Me" and a bunch of other things I was raised on in my 21 years. xD
