I taught myself how to play some of the piano recently.

I play the violin pretty well, also

Ezprethual 04-08-2010 07:00 PM

I play the guitar! I played for like 3-4 years now, im starting to get good ^^' Im starting to play the keyboard very soon, yay =D

I started a band with some friends, but we're not started for real, so we are not sure about what genre we are going to play.. But its going to be something like metal or something :P

Poppet 04-09-2010 04:20 AM

I play the piano ^-^. I tried taking up guitar, but piano just kinda stuck with me.

McNugget 04-15-2010 02:21 AM

I play guitar. I've been playing for about 8 years now, and most people call me the asian version of Jimmy Page lol. I have also been playing drums for about 3 years, but I like the guitar more. ^_^

melonmilk 04-15-2010 09:01 PM

I play the keyboard! And I have since I was four. (Kinda. My dad made me.) Unfortunately I haven't got much better since then. .__.;

Xxbl00dyxangelxX 04-24-2010 03:53 PM

Piano! <3. But i am having a hard time with it right now =(

Neko-Lover 04-25-2010 01:53 AM

I play harmonica on and off... I'm trying to re-learn how to play it, because I stopped after the first time I bought it (and I can't read music ^^"""").

I'm planning on picking up either the bass, guitar, or drums as soon as I get enough money. And I'm not in a band... there was no band in my school, and I don't know anybody in a band now. :'(

darkfortresses 04-25-2010 10:01 PM

I play drums, french horn, bassoon, and trumpet.

Hermes 04-25-2010 10:42 PM

I really don't play any instruments. I 'play' guitar, but it's actually just chord strumming with no real talent. xD
I have a good thorough understanding of music from school, but I've never played an instrument for long. I've played cello, flute, guitar, saxophone and clarinet.
I wish I still played saxophone. I was good at it.
I really wish I'd have stuck with cello, because cello is the bad-assest.

SassyTheDragongirl 04-26-2010 06:54 PM

I don't play an Instrument at the time, but I would like to Play Piano or Violin ^^

Mariposa~rosa 04-27-2010 03:25 PM

I play piano pretty decently, but i haven't been playing too much because i don't have access to an instrument with the whole 88 keys, and i just don't have the patience to play on my half sized keyboard anymore XD (picky musician is picky)

Guitar is also an instrument that I play, though I have only been doing it for about 3 months, but I am learning though!

I can play the piano and the guitar.
I'm not good at it though.

Lord Orpheus 05-02-2010 01:02 AM

Wow, I'm surprised this thread still has people posting in it. ^_^; I really wish I could play piano but I feel too old to learn it at this point... And I don't own a piano, which would certainly make practicing difficult.

Thalia_Winters 05-09-2010 04:39 AM

I'm not in a band, but I've made many attempts to start one *thinks back to 8th grade.* I play the piano (lessons for 5 years), drums (lol not really but lessons for 3 years), guitar (kind of/barely, lessons for a year and a half) and vocals (my entire life).
I wish I was better at the piano, but I stopped playing for... yikes! 7 years and only recently got up the courage to dust off my books.

-The Half-Blood Princess- 05-10-2010 02:42 AM

I'm not able to play any instruments, but I'm considering taking piano lessons this summer.

I don't know how it will go, though. I've never been able to read music very well, and I kind of failed at the recorder in fourth grade. xD

Aerinn 07-10-2010 03:31 AM

I took guitar classes when I was in 2nd grade, but wimped out because a 2nd grader and an full-sized classical guitar do not bond well. I've taken piano classes for about 6 years, but I recently stopped due to academic restrictions...

Currently, I'm trying to self-learn guitar. I can play some chords and what nots, but my rhythm and speed aren't great. Does anyone have tips or strategies to help me improve?

D.J. Dead 07-13-2010 11:08 PM

I'm teaching myself to play piano. I also sing if that counts at all. I would love to be able to play the guitar, and violin.

Sforzando 07-14-2010 03:08 AM

I'm best at singing, however, I have had lessons in and played in my school band with these instruments:

Percussion/Drums
French Horn
Guitar
Steel Drums
Piano

Out of all the instruments I play (not including voice) I've played piano the longest, and I'm mediocre at it. I haven't played steel drums in a really long time, but if I still did, that would be the instrument I'm best at. As it stands, I only play piano and guitar now. (Again, not including voice, which is my main instrument).

I wish I played viola, cello, or bass (not guitar). I attempted to play violin. But that didn't work out too well.

Wraith_Paladin_of_Stone 07-14-2010 03:10 AM

I have never been able to fully learn any instruments, although I've tried learning guitar, keyboard/piano, flute, and drums. I just can't seem to get into any of them.

Singing, now THAT is something I can get behind.

IadulDraculai 07-15-2010 01:10 PM

lol, Singing in the shower and when I'm drunk doesn't count, I'm sure.

I play the guitar, a smattering of piano, and the drums, as well as the dumbek (middle eastern drum shaped like an hour glass) and a yokoboe (Japanese flute).

I learned guitar when I was 16, but I'm not excellent at it. I don't practice enough, and I cant read music. All piano music is done by ear, as are the drums. I learned dumbek when I was 14, and the yokoboe when I was 19. My sister accompanies my yokoboe with her bewa (a sort of harp/lute), and we have a sort of 'performance' we put on for cultural festivals and such :)

I've been a musician my entire life. I'm mainly a singer and a violinist. Oh, look! A shameless youtube plug!!! Haha, sorry. :] But, yeah, I'm actually a music major in college right now. Music Performance, to be specific.

And I'm currently learning how to play the ukulele. =D

shinjuuchan 07-24-2010 10:23 PM

I was in the Symphony band in high school. Played the oboe for 8 years. I really hope that I can get a new one soon, so I can continue to play. I've thought about taking up guitar as well.

Zayix 07-28-2010 09:38 PM
