hey guys...

Instrument which I have received lots of instruction on:
cello

Ones I have received little instruction - mainly self taught on:
guitar
voice

Instrument which is completely self-taught:
bass guitar

I play in the school orchestra, I used to play at Robison, but now play at Harney(and yes, I know, haha, ) I play cello in the school orchestra, My dad used to teach me how to play guitar, my mom used to teach me how to sing, and I really just taught myself the bass guitar. I got an instruction book from my orchestra teacher at Robison(thank you Mrs. Paden!!!) to borrow, but I really only learned the D and C major scales and like- good king wenceslas or something. It's actually something i do in my spare time. I am not currently in a band, but I am starting one with my sister and some other people I know. I'ma be the bass player, so I may need to pick that up. My sister(extreme.mindy) is going to sing. We don't really have a guitarist, a drummer, any music, or a name. Anyone PM me if u got any ideas. Thanx! ;)

I play the Flute for my school! I tried other instruments but I liked the Flute the best...

When I was younger- my first instrument I played was a clarinet. But, now I play piano, and guitar. I might want to have a band soon. Or at least try to make one ^-^

Faulkner 02-28-2011 09:17 PM

I am competent at the piano but not much else. Music is not my talent.

Piano and Violin...it's a family thing. I used to play cello, but I didn't really like it.

Explodey 03-09-2011 06:52 AM

I sing and play guitar. But rarely anymore, because I'm tired of the sound of it. What I want is a keyboard.

I have a beat up old psaltry that's out of tune, but I don't play that much either. Tuning them is too much work!

FuzzyLumpkin 03-14-2011 11:22 PM

I play Piano, Synth and drums, I also do some chiptune work. I plan on buying a keytar at some point in the future.
I'd also love an Eigenharp Alpha but they're so pricey. D:

I've tried other instruments - trumpet, trombone, violin, oboe - but I've never stuck to them. I seem to have a leaning towards electronic instruments.

Ahh My Weapon Of Choice Is The Piano As It Is The Instrument I Use To Make All Of My Music In Fl Studio

BurningCrusade 03-16-2011 05:41 PM

I can play Acoustic Guitar
Electric Guitar
Bass
Drums
and Keyboard.

I have been in three bands, I mostly played with them in school charity concerts. I never really did it to be famous.

I wrote a couple of songs a long time ago, but really my thrill of music died out.

What my band played was usually: Progressive Metal, Hard Rock.

Trumpet,piano,and I sing. ^^

wasabiisweird 03-20-2011 01:02 AM

In band at school, I've been playing the Trombone since 5th grade. And I'm in 9th. I'm playing percussion next year though! ^^
At home,
I've been playing acoustic/electric guitar and drums since I was 9. I have all ready to play in my room whenever the hell I want, too. c;<

I played lots of instruments, but never stuck with any of them because that requires practice. I have played guitar, organ, violin, French horn, sax, and tuba, which, strangely enough, I liked to play the most.

I want to try to take up violin again for fun, but I wouldn't mind trying out the frula...

SteamyStorm 05-02-2011 08:32 PM

I played the recorder in my primary school, but I stopped when I dropped it in the road and a land rover crushed it into tiny black and white pieces :'(
Now I have resolved never again to attempt tunes, and so now I play the drums and the bodhran (irish drum).
I am forming a band which should be a light rock/ paramore type outfit. Any suggestions for names?

STRING BASS PLAYER FOR LIFE!

carzeemumbear 05-03-2011 08:32 AM

I sing well and play the guitar, flute, recorder and piano badly... really badly. I learned the double bass for a while but having the spike tucked in as far as possible was not cool, standing on a box was even less cool so I gave up.

Vix Viral 05-03-2011 04:03 PM

I'm a fan of playing your mother ;)

Projectwolfie 05-03-2011 05:31 PM

I used to play the Clarinet when I was in school, I think for 7 years or so. I was pretty good at it too. Then high school band drama kinda put me off... haven't really got back into it since after my Junior year.

However, mostly I focus on vocals now. I have a straight bass voice actually, although my range is a little wider than some.

Obsidian Raven's Song 05-04-2011 05:28 AM

I've been playing Clarinet for eleven years now, since I started when I was in grade four. I absolutely love playing the Clarinet. I find it so relaxing and calming, especially when playing more classical pieces. I like playing movie pieces for fun too, especially Lord of the Rings or Pirates of the Caribbean. I think my directors played a big part in my sticking with music. They just made learning and practicing so much fun! And our high school director really like to rile us up for competitions XD

I played Saxophone for a summer, and while it was fun, I didn't like going back to being a beginner after being the top in my class. I also thought about trying the Flute, Bass Clarinet, and Oboe, but never did.

I'm learning guitar finally, after wanting to play it for years. It's slow going but fun. Can't wait until I'm good enough to play some of my favourite songs XD

HA YES!! A fellow player. A box? i have never heard of that....I happen to be 6'0 so that could be one reason. But hey good for you! =3

flamethrower1391 05-05-2011 01:49 AM

I'm not good at any one instrument, but I have learned some percussion, mallet percussion, flute, guitar, piano, and vocal.

Ruska. 05-06-2011 07:24 PM

I've just started playing the cello (11 months ago), so I'm in no band. Tough I want to join one in the future :mrmayor:

peurky 05-08-2011 09:25 PM

i play some piano but im not very good :P

xRhii 05-12-2011 04:01 AM

Well I'm in my schools Symphonic Band, and I play the flute. I'm not particularity fond of my instrument but I've been stuck with it for around five years now. I was hoping to learn percussion but we had too many kids back there and it would have just been a mess to add another. Besides the flute I can play a tiny bit of piano, I was self taught out of boredom one summer, but I'm not amazingly good it and can only play beginner songs.
