Stage musicals, not tv/movie ones, please. PLEASE.
I've only seen 3 so far in my life. But that will definitely change!!
I've seen...
The Witches of Eastwick
Lion King
Miss Saigon
I'll be seeing Phantom of the Opera this September!! :D
The Witches of Eastwick was different, same basic plot, but no famous annoying actors. I did not enjoy the movie, but I loved the musical. Especially the song, "Dance With The Devil".
Lion King was just as amazing as I thought it would be. My favourite song is "Endless Night". I always sing that, even though a male character sings it, I like it way better than "Shadowland".
EVERY SONG IN MISS SAIGON is amazing. My god.
& I can't wait to see Phantom. :D YAY.
What have you guys seen, & tell how you felt about them? Disappointed? Happy? Loved it? Let us know!!

I have seen one stage musical in my life, and that was CATS. My mother took me when I was thirteen, because I'd wanted to see it since I was young (blame Reading Rainbow, they used to replay the CATS episode ALL. THE. TIME.)
I loved it. I loved the costumes, the songs, the idea behind it, the actors... We were way up in the nosebleed seats because those were all we could afford, and I couldn't have enjoyed it more if we'd been front and center.

I've seen more than I could count. It's the bane of being involved in theatre.
As for Broadway, however, that's a completely different story. I've only seen:
The Pirate Queen.
Amazing, especially the Irish dance seen. It just made me want to jump up out of my seat and start spinning around. I hope that the show has a long run. I'd hate to see it close within the year.

I saw Wicked recently when they toured to Houston (they might still be there, not sure). (It was completely awesome, by the way!!!!!!) I'd seen several staged musicals before that, but that was the only one I saw that was performed by professionals. All the other ones were put on by local theaters, and the actors were mostly amateurs. Here's a compository list:
Bye Bye Birdie
Annie (several times)
You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown
Thoroughly Modern Millie
Oklahoma!
The Wizard of Oz
Cinderella
The Music Man
The Sound of Music
... I can't remember any more! X-P Although I'm sure there are more.

What's Pirate Queen about? It's new right!?

It's the life of Grace O'Malley, the pirate chieftain of the Irish O'Malley clan. It shows her coming into power after her father, her marriage, her power struggle with Queen Elizabeth I of England, and everything in between.
I love seeing a musical with this kind of historical perspective. They romanticized a lot of her life and combined her two marriages into one hell hole, but I'm still impressed.

Let's see, I've seen:
Beauty and the Beast
The Lion King
Wicked
..and I think that's it actually.
I've acted in:
Guys and Dolls
Fiddler on the Roof
Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat
and I was on tech crew for my school's production of Thoroughly Modern Millie.
I read the book Wicked before seeing the play, and in comparison, the actual storyline of the play was a cheap cop-out. Fiyero is not the scarecrow, Boq is not the Tin Woodsman, and Fiyero dies about half-way through the book. The play in general left me very unsatisfied.

I've seen...
The Lion King
Spamalot
Pippin
The Phantom of the Opera
I had tickets to more, but I didn't manage to go. I love musicals, but I've only seen those four. I'm going to see Avenue Q next summer, hopefully Wicked at some point as well.

Lets see, I love musicals, but I haven't been able to see many.
Miss Saigon
Cabaret
Pirates of Penzance
Rocky Horror Show
I think I'd like to see Wicked, and I'd love to see Rent live, but that costs money.

I've only seen one stage performance live, and that was when Phantom of the Opera came to town. Technically I've also seen the Broadway/Disney version of Beauty and the Beast, but it was done really, REALLY badly by a local theater company and I'd still like to see it done by professional actors.
And I've seen the uploaded/pirated version of Wicked online. *shifty eyes*
Edit: Whoops, I forgot - I also own Cats on VHS. So I haven't seen it live, but I HAVE seen it.
Double edit: Gah, I have GOT to read threads all the way through before I reply. I've also seen the Rocky Horror Picture Show on stage twice. A good friend of mine was playing Rocky. But he didn't quite have the physique to pull it off, so his abs were painted on in makeup and glitter. Fun times.

I have seen two musicals in my life
- Fame
- We Will Rock You
The latter was fantastic!! I'm going to see that again next year.... I have SO many people I want to see that one, it's stunning!!
Fame was ok, but we had really bad seats, so I suspect it was really better than I whought at the time ^^
We had FANTASTIC seats on We Will Rock you, tho... We sat on the third row, right in the middle XD all the people around us were sworn Queen fans, it was amazing!!

I'm another one of the CATS people.
I saw it when I was 12, and it was pretty rad from what I remeber.
We got to meet the old grey cat.
Whatever his name was @[email protected];
I'd love to get out and see some more, but none really tour out here, and I tend not to travell to Sydney very often (try, 3 times in 16 years).
Can we count school musicals here?
'cause in that case, I've seen...alot ('Back to the 80's', 'Sheerluck Holmes', 'How the West was Warped', ect'.
f34r my involvment in school productions.

Most of the musicals that I've seen have been school or community theatre productions.
I recently saw Hairspray done professionally and I loved it! <3

I'll only count professional and semi-professional companies.
I've seen Les Miserables, Jekyll & Hyde, Gypsy, Miss Saigon, West Side Story, and Beauty and the Beast.
I'm hoping to one day see Wicked and Lion King on the stage.

Okay then, most of the things I've seen have been online because a girl like me doesn't have the money to go and see every show she wants to, and I want to see alot!
I've seen live/online:
My Fair Lady
Les Miserables (4 times!)
Miss Saigon
Honk (My Mommy was in it, so I saw it 3 or 4 times in my Junior year.)
Cats
Avenue Q
Wicked
Spamalot
Sweeny Todd
And then I've listened to soundtracks from countless others. Both sides of my family are very musical, and my Dad's mother did a lot of directing, including the Miss Michigan Pageant. She got me into Musicals and I've been addicted since.
