ok so rap or rock?

This should go in the music subforum, i believe. xD
Although i like rock better.

I would pick rap because of Eminem

Rock.

It honestly doesn't much matter to me. If they've got something worth saying, or something that will make me happy, I will listen to it. I like rock and rap, but usually not any of it on the radio. XD

Rap isn't singing anymore.
It's just talking with a
rhythm. No music to it.
Only rap I listen to is
Eminem.

But rock is better. It's
actual singing and actual
music. Not little sounds
every so-on.
Plus, i grew up on rock.

I totally get what Aiparon is saying.
Most rap is girls, money, violence, and you know what else...
The only rap artists I like are Eminem and Hollywood Undead, if they even count as rap.

Rock > rap, and that will always be so for me. xD

The famous rap songs are about dancing and getting busy, which is just stupid. =P
Like I said, I like Eminem because most of his songs are about his life and he even "sings" in some of them, not just raps.

I used to listen to rap, but then I started liking rock.
Now all I listen to is rock and Asian pop.

I listened to all rap until
the St. Louis hit rap radio
station, Z 107-7, got uber
annoying and played the same
damned songs over and over
again. Heard one song 2 times
in one hour, and again the
next hour.
Poor station can't appreciate
old hip hop like the Black
Eyed Peas anymore.

i was always a fan of rock
though. Light Metal with a
little bit of Opera actually
sounds good. Like Nightwish's
"Phantom of the Opera".

I like both but I prefer rock over rap. However I like R&B more than rock.

Underground rap you hear late at night on college radio stations is the kind of rap for me.

The crap on the commercial radio stations makes me want to rip my tonsils out and jab them into my ear lobes to make the painful sound go away.

And rock is just awsome in general...except for some of the rock of today. Just dosen't jive with me the rock these days dose. :(

Am I not allowed to like both?

I do not like either as a whole genre. But I like selected artists from both.

There is no way I can generalize all those songs, especially with the diversity and depth of both.

I like both, but I lean more towards rock. I mean, I spent my teen years listening to rock. XD

Hard rock is the best, rap sucks :x ! I like bands like Misfits, Guns n' Roses, Kiss, Pantera, Pink Floyd, Poison and Def Leppard.

Rap is starting to get old, and having really no meaning.
I'd pick Rock over Rap, Anytime.

I can go either way. It depends on the song for the most part.
