I was looking through the forums and I couldn't find any indie music threads at all, so I decided to make one.
Indie Music = Independent Lable
For those who don't know what that means, it means it isn't signed to a big record company.
Indie music also includes people who home record their music as well.
My current favorite band is Los Campesinos, a British pop band which I recently discovered on an awsome music blog which is www.3hive.com. However, I've only got two of their songs xD But I love it. I am probably going to buy their albums.

I lovelovelove 3hive. They took my music blog virginity a few years ago. :'D A lot of the bands I discovered from back then are now gaining fame too. It's a good blog. <3
Also check out hypem; it shows recently updated music blogs and I've discovered some awesome bands there.
My favourite indie bands right now are Seabear and Muscles. <3 I make all my friends listen to Seabear and they all love it.

My favourite band ever is Nemo.
They're and indie/electro/punk band based in London, and they're incredible.
My favourites of their songs are Switch Your Brain and Car Crash Eyes.
rpt2fade is good too.
Actually they're all good, why am I picking out specific songs?
Check out their myspace if you want: http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm...endid=18412707

This is Ivy League
"The Richest Kids" is an excellent track and perfect for summer!
They also did a cover of The Arcade Fire's "Crown of Love."

Hey! Los Campensinos! I entered a contest to win their cd, but alas, I lost. They're cool, though! Only band to be signed to Arts & Crafts and not be apart of Broken Social Scene. XDD
Right now I like Portishead (are they indie? Idk), British Sea Power, Herbert, Crystal Castles, The Weakerthans, Belle & Sebastian, Broken Social Scene, Feist + Gozalez. And Beth Gibbons. Again, idk with Beth Gibbons.

I just read about "This is Ivy League" in AP magazine. Though it was in an article related to Cobra Starship. o3o
My favorite indie band would definitely be Minus the Bear.
You should listen to "Pachuca Sunrise" and "Absinthe Party At The Fly Honey Warehouse." You can also stream their latest album on Minusthebear.com

Oh gawsh, Crystal Castles. I heard that they got in trouble I think though, for stealing samples from 8-bit composers, or something like that.
Well, personally, I know of and listen to a lot of Japanese Indie bands. Mostly Rock, but there's a couple that I do like that are pretty cool. (stuff like Number Girl, toddle, Yuey, Supercar, Ling Tosite Sigure... and so on.)
