by the eagles Indeed...one of the best songs ever made, at least in my opinion yeah, its a little old, but age never determines the greatness of music (theres alot of good "classics" out there, im pretty sure) I mean...its awesome, and i m sure im not the only fanatic of it But hey you never know. So who else knows the song (you better :x ) and do you guys think its okay, good, great, awesome, incredible, M-azing, or the best and i guess i have to put the horrid Dislike option here...ill be waiting for none of these <.< >.> >.< but come on...its a great song :D so post you opinions or comments...lets get it i basically like the song for all the sweet guitar sounds at the begining, thourghout, but mostly at the end with the guitar solo...thats the best part |

I don't like the song, it's pretty stupid. Everyone knows it but I don't even know how because it's a stupid song. |

I'm not a fanatic, but I enjoy listening to it every once in a while. I like the lyrics and the beat, I guess. :3 I don't know why but whenever I do listen to it, I think of Hotel Rwanda.

Its just really nicely made, in my opinion and sounds like no other song to me but the song IS about something, if you would listen to the lyrics you would understand what he is saying...' ( he riding donw a highway at night has to stop at a hotel that is extremely beautiful, he stays and figures out thats its pure evil and theres no way to get out once your in...basically from the state of the city of angels, he went into hell...is that good enough, thats just summed up in basic terms) ah, hotel rwanda...thats a really sad movie, because it based on real life :( |
Yes, I would have to agree with you there. I do quite like that song. It’s one of those songs, at least in my opinion, that never gets old no matter how many times I hear it.

Silly people, this is as much classic as David Bowie and Queen doing Under Pressure.
The album, titled Hotel California and everything, went platinum more then the rest of their albums. Just because you don't like it doesn't mean it isn't a classic. It's traversed through the ages, people still know it, people love it, it's highly pupular, it's almost thirty years old! Yes, it is a classic. Hotel California is a great song, but I guess it just depends on your taste in music. Classic rock is one of my most favoritest <33 I love the lyrics, I love the way it sounds, and I love the Eagles! |

yeah the whole masked heaven to hell place is what i tried to decribe in my earlier post
as simple as the lyrics are, it has a really complex meaning well, a songs age and basic popularity and fame during its time, its excellence and the defined classical, is what makes a song a classic, hotel california, fits in just nicely, in my opinion. |

I mean because it's talking about how great it is there and how its beautiful and amazing, but even if you check out you can never leave. 'Cuz you know, all those drugs that you end up addicted to for the rest of your life.. Even if you quit them you can never stop wanting them.. Yeah! It's a great song though ^^ |

I really like this song. and I agree. Just because you don't like the song doesn't mean it is a classic. So if you hate all music that is not from the 2000s, does that mean that they are not classics.
This is a great song. It is not my favorite Eagles song, that one is Take It Easy. Though it is still pretty good. |
I rather like the song, both for the vocals and the underlying meaning. XDD I like weird songs like that, but yeah. I've been reared an Eagles fan as it is, so of course I was introduced to "Hotel California" when I was quite young (same with ST:TOS, but that's another topic ;D) and...well...I've just liked it since. It has a great sound to it.
I also like singing along with it. It's fun to imitate his voice. I don't know band members' names, sorry...just music. ^^; |
