January 13, 2016 - LINKIN PARK



Today's artist of the day is ... *drumroll* ... Linkin Park! Honestly, I had only two phases during which I listened to Linkin Park -- during high school when everyone seemed to be listening to emo music for some reason, and this past spring and summer when one of my new friends at the time was really into dark music. So, I would listen to that genre of music as well.

Some of their more recent songs include [Burning In The Skies, Lost In The Echo, and Burn It Down.]

And some of their older ones include [New Divide, Castle of Glass, Somewhere I Belong, With You (Reanimation), My December (Reanimation), Bleed It Out, and Papercut.]


January 14, 2016 - OWL CITY



I just want to say...two things. First off, remember Owl City's song Fireflies https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=psuRGfAaju4&index=235 <3 it was so popular in my high school days. Everyone in the hallways were singing it, albeit usually not that well. It was just such a cool-sounding song, and it was about fireflies, of all things! Not romantic love like most of the songs at the time. And secondly, Owl City's Verge ft. Aloe Blacc https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nYCURBSSyXw&index=82 is one of my FAVORITE songs of all time!!! It is THE perfect graduation song, for reals. I kind of wish we could have played it at our graduation.
