I have them all. It's so much fun to hear the covers of them. They always sound so great and so much better than the original.

I hate how the term "punk" is used for music that isn't. Warped tour style bands aren't really my thing. They're more annoying than anything. At any rate, it's an okay cover. I'm not huge on a Static Lullaby though. Some of the covers on those albums are pretty good though. Granted there were a few I flat out refuse to listen to because I can not stand some of those bands featured on the albums.

I agree with Mystic, a lot of the "punk" bands they get for the series aren't really what I'd call "punk", but that's another thing entirely. Most of the covers are decent and there are a few that I actually enjoy a lot more than the originals. I really like the couple of acoustic albums they did because I'm always a sucker for acoustic.

Pretty much this. I might have some interest in the albums if they were actual punk bands, but the fad of ironic covers still died out a while ago and, in my humble opinion, these collections are just beating a dead horse.

For the punk misnomer, I prefer calling them all [radio alternative/pop/rock goes here].
Speaking of the "ironic covers" and since it was related, did anyone catch the "MySpace sponsored" Bad Religion cover album? Interesting (if not strange) choice of bands for the most part... even had Switchfoot doing Sorrow a second time. o.O

I just listened to the Punk Goes Pop 4 album and I must say I wasn't that impressed. Some of them were alright covers, but for the most part I just gave a little shrug and said "Meh".

I agree with the whole "it's not really punk" statement as most of the bands they get are more pop oriented, whether they lean pop-punk or straight pop or pop-rock, the punk element is sadly lacking.
I've listened to/acquired most - if not all - of them, and there are the occasional gems, some of them even coming for bands that I don't care for in the slightest. However the "Punk Goes Classic Rock" album was a total monstrosity. I have friends on that album and I've even told them that if I ever hear them cover their song live I'm going outside 'til it's over.
