I know i am a little late with this one but its been on my mind as if its a demonic hound from hell trying to invade every thought at any given minute. Now... i may just be getting old as i am 32, but even as a kid i was never one to prance around all nekkid and licking random inanimate objects like a s*x crazed not-so-virgin nun. Nor was i one to ever think it was "hot, or cool" And believe me, i have had my share of issues. I ran away from home when i was 15 to live with my boyfriend on and off for 4 years. Most of that time was spend living under bridges and in Juvenile hall. So i THOUGHT i had seen it all! I do think i have grown up a bit more but still am i really THAT OLD? And here is why i ask... (honestly i am so surprised this forum doesnt have a sticky for her ALONE!)

How can people NOT be totally disgusted and SAD for the train wreck that has become miley CIRCUS? (to each their own) but i am so saddened by her actions AND by her response to poor Sinead o'conner. (sp?) What "normal" (within sane perimeters) would act like this and actually think its ok? I get the whole "breaking out of your shell or Disney image thing. I GET IT. But you cannot think that by stripping/showing your junk for some OLD (like 60!) man at 18 is going to actually do anything other than make you look like trash. Is she REALLY going for trashy???... Its crazy!

My daughter is 5 and just got into all kinds of stuff and she used to watch her show on TV. I am disgusted beyond words at what she has become and the lengths in which she has gone to "break out" of her "shell" Getting high/drunk/wasted/ naked ect is not the way you make people see you as an individual (Madonna, Xtina, Brittany (i know, i know, leave her alone) Cher!) i mean come on! Its been done before! Its tired, old, washed up and beneath the star that she was. And unfortunately she can NEVER go back. I think this has ruined everything for me. I actually used to like her new song "we wont stop" or w/e UNTIL i saw the video! Even worse was the VMA (i know i am late on this one) I literally sat there in utter exasperated shock! :O like that! << freakin insane. I now have a hard time listening to even my favorites from her Disney day and not cringing when my daughter wants to watch something she is in or voices.

Again i get personal freedom, expression, individuality. But there has to be a point in ones life where they can look back and say i wasnt perfect but i am proud. If she is proud of this behavior then her parents did a piss poor job. (her mom dancing at the VMA's in the isle totally made me think of that chick off of SNL.. Amy Poehler!)

What are YOUR thoughts on Miley cirus?

I agree with you! I understand that she is wanting to break out of the Disney image but acting like that is not setting a good image for her. She has to grow up but not act so inappropriate. Selena Gomez and Demi Lovato as far as I'm aware are doing okay. But Miley is embarrassing. I wonder what her dad thinks?

I believe the whole point of it was reactions like this. It's how her name gets the notoriety that it has. Either that or she wants to show up Madonna.

It's like anyone else who goes to the extreme for attention: ignore them.
