[I didn't see a thread like this but if there is one, feel free to lock]
Know any bands who have done remakes of their songs in an acoustic version?
Do you generally like the non-acoustic or the acoustic?
I like Fall Out Boy's acoustic version of "Nobody Puts Baby In The Corner" (Myspace Records) than the version they have on the original album. However, I like Jack's Mannequin's original "Bruised" over the acoustic version.

I'm an acoustic addict. :'D I loooove acoustic guitar, so... xB Whenever I find acoustic versions of songs I already know, I grab them immediately. >>
Paramore is one of the groups who... I definitely like the acoustic stuff better than the original version. P: The one for Misery Business is great.
Then, I tend to like acoustic stuff more, anyway. :B

Face Down, by the Red Jumpsuits Apparatus, is better acoustic then the original version.
Call It Karma, by Silverstein, is a lot better acoustic too. Also Here Without You, by 3 Doors Down is a good acoustic cover. C:
Also, i like Marie Digby's acoustic cover of Umbrella, originally done by Rihanna.

Hmm, 145, (155 acoustic) In Fear and Faith acoustic, Taking Back control acoustic, by Plus 44, Circa Survive, and Sparta, respectively.
(That might have been a long post, I apologize. @__@ )
The band, "Over It" has some really good acoustics. I find myself on their acoustic myspace page all the time, I'm not sure which ones are remakes though, but oh well, I listen to it all the same.
The band, "Boys Like girls" did a cover of a song from Frou Frou, it's not that good though, kinda killed it for me..but still, it's pretty neat how someone did a Frou Frou cover. *dislikes Boys Like girls like crazy* xD

COLIN MELOY! D:
He does some of the best acoustic Morrisey covers I've ever heard. My favorite being either Everyday is like Sunday or I've Changed my Plea to Guilty

Scott Weiland did his band[Velvet Revolver]'s song "Slither" acoustic.
But it sounded really really bad. XD
But I can't think of any others... *fails at owning unplugged albums*

I only know one song with an acoustic version, and I don't really like it. ^^;
It's mostly because the original song I had always thought to be fun, boppity, like a dance song, and then there's this acoustic version, which, to me, has a totally different viewpoint. XP

One of Death Cab for Cutie's old songs, 405, is one of my favorites EVER by them. I was checking out some of their EPs and it turns out that they did an acoustic version of it for their Forbidden Love EP. I love both versions equally, which is a LOT. : )
Also, a lot of songs from The Postal Service (which is a techno band that consists of Death Cab's lead singer, who is Ben Gibbard, and Jimmy Tamborello, part of Dntel) were played by Ben Gibbard acoustic for his solo tour. Some of the songs just sound a LOT better acoustic- it's amazing!
