March 30, 2016 - LANA DEL REY
Today's artist of the day is Lana Del Rey. My second cousin from out of state introduced me to Lana Del Rey one time a few years ago when she came to visit. She was absolutely in love with Lana Del Rey's voice, plus she was a huge fan of the Great Gatsby movie that had come out around that time. Apparently one of Lana Del Rey's songs, called Summertime Sadness, was part of the The Great Gatsby soundtrack https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1Ph_...nKy_&index=324. I still have not seen The Great Gatsby, but I have read the novel many times, and the ending always saddened me. My second cousin also showed me this song, which I thought sounded very sincere. April 9, 2016 - ELLIE GOULDING
Today's artist of the day is Ellie Goulding. I first heard of Ellie Goulding because she sang Love Me Like You Do https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AJtDXIazrMo&index=408, which is one of the songs on the Fifty Shades of Grey soundtrack. I still have not seen that movie, but it is on my to-watch list. I have heard some interesting things about that film from people who have watched it, so I kind of want to see how it is, out of curiosity. I also have not read the books either, although I have indeed skimmed through snippets of it that had been posted online. April 22, 2016 - GREEN DAY
Today's artist of the day is Green Day! I was a huge fan of Green Day back in high school. Specifically, I loved their songs Boulevard Of Broken Dreams https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Soa3gO7tL-c, Wake Me Up When September Ends https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jVO8sUrs-Pw&index=115, and Time of Your Life https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mwnoNVOj1Fs. This was back when going out to karaoke with my friends was one of my favorite things to do, and Boulevard of Broken Dreams was almost always on our playlist to sing along to because we all knew the song, it was super catchy, and they liked to laugh when I made up lyrics to avoid saying curse words while singing it. For over a year, I did not listen to Boulevard of Broken Dreams because my uh...let's just call him previous person, although he liked the song, it reminded him of one of his former friends who became one of his enemies. So I had actually removed that song from my playlist for a long while. But now that I have my current significant other who loves that song, it is now back on my playlist, and I listen to it happily <3

Today's artist of the day is The Knocks! The Knocks was one of the artists that performed at Bonnaroo 2016 in Tennessee! Classic has SUCH an awesome music video!!! This song is actually on the soundtrack for Sims 4, in case you are not familiar with the game :D
