I am sorry if this thread already exists, I could not find it.
I love Emilie Autumn, she is definitly one of my favorite singers. I have seen her in concert twice now (will be three times in less than a month) *squeal*
I do not know what the show will be like though because Contessa is gone
Anyways I am making this thread to see if there are anyother muffins out there on mene.
If so here are a few basic questions:
When did you discover EA?
What is your favorite Album?
What is your favorite song?
Who is your favorite crumpet?
Have you read the Asylum?
If so, Thoughts? (no spoilers for those who haven't read)
If no, do you want to?
Are you on the Asylum?
My answers:
I discovered EA at the end of elementary school so around 2006.
My favorite album is Enchant.
My favorite song (well there is a different one for each album) is a mix of Juliet, 4 O'Clock, the art of suicide, manic depression, ghost, and GIRLS GIRLS GIRLS (along with most of the songs on flag it is bloody catchy)
MAGGOTS!!!!!!!!I love Contessa but she is now sadly gone :(
I have almost finished reading the Asylum (no judgement until I am finished)
I am on the asylum...if you want to talk there send me a pm or post your user name (I will only give mine out through PM)

yes, well, yeah. I love Emilie. I can't clearly remember when I discovered her, but it was about two or three years ago. First I used to love songs from Enchant, but then I started to like songs from Opheliac more. When I found out, that there were coming new album, I went all crazy, and, well, I have it now. And gotta admit, it's my favourite album, at least at the moment. My favourite songs are Manic Depression and Take The Pill. And about Crumpets, I don't know 'bout that much, but I guess I could say Veronica.
And no, I haven't read the book, since it's pretty expensive, but I'm planning to buy it sooner or later, it sounds really intresting. And no, I'm not on the Asylum, don't really know why.

It is nice to meet you, I understand that feeling of liking the new one (at least for a little) more than the older ones. It is really expensive but you could try things like ebay.....those are great songs and VeVa is very charismatic :) If you do join the asylum please let me know your user and we can talk on there as well :)

I love the Rat Queen and her music! My friend, my dear best friend, she linked me once upon a time Rapunzel. It was summer, if I rember right. That was the first song I've heard from her :3 I found her again when I wanted to listen the song again but couldn't rerember the name, so I asked for it from her. She told me how she had found and listened more of her music and I should too! So, being a good friend I did so, and now I'm so in love with her music!
Um, I think I have most of her albums on my laptop, none of them legals, sadly. Living in Finland makes it hard to find her albums or the book, so, don't own any of them, haven't read the book. Someday I will :3
My favourite album might be Opheliac because from that album I love almost all of the songs. I haven't listened all of her songs. My favourite song right now would be My Fairweather Friend, Girls! Girls! Girls! or 306. I'm not sure, I listen her almost every day, so the favourite change almost every day.
I have never been on their gig. I wish someday I could go with my best friend.
I have no favourite crumpet :3

You have great song taste, and it is okay to only have digital copies of her work (you can only buy opheliac and flag now even from her website)

I know Emilie Autumn, though I doubt I'm as devoted a fan as most people I know who are familiar with her work.

My little sister showed her to me. I'm a classical musician and I finished a degree recently in musicology and double bass performance, so she has a habit of showing me interesting things because she knows I can appreciate it. This was a couple of years ago when I first encountered her music.

I don't know because I don't know what her albums are. (I do know that she had a relatively recent album called F.L.A.G., or at least I think that's what she was going to call it when I first learned of it.) Most of her music I simply know from burnt CDs that my sis gave to me. I assumed they were mixed and matched from different albums.

This is hard to say, but probably "Marry Me" because it's so absolutely clever lyrically and the instrumentals are very catchy and lively. I'm not a fan of Autumn's frequent use of the harpsichord so much (at least from the songs I've heard), but it works wonderfully in that tune. I have a soft spot for Shallott as well because I like Alfred Lord Tennyson's poem and Thomas Malory's La Morte d'Arthur and other Arthurian literature.

I assume this is someone who performs with Autumn. I don't know. I do, however, make homemade crumpets. Completely unrelated, but my roommate loves them.

No, sorry.
I don't know what it is so I can't say.
No. I don't know what the Asylum is in this context.
Well, as you can see I'm hardly an Emilie Autumn fan if I've failed the test here, but I appreciate the music of hers that I've been able to hear.

1. Some years back, a friend of my linked me to a video of Gothic Lolita on youtube. I promptly said "wtf," closed the tab, opened it back up, and checked out a few of her other songs.
2. That's a hard one. Either Enchant or Laced/Unlaced. I like pretty much all of her albums, though.
3. That's even harder! I can't possibly choose!
4. Contessa, though she's not a crumpet anymore. Of the girls that are left, I guess I like Captain Maggots best. Though there's a new crumpet being introduced soon, so there's that to look forward to. <:
5. No, I haven't read her book. I pretty much know the story, and some of the quotes I've seem from it really miff me, so I don't think I'll be reading it any time soon.
6. You mean the official forum? Yeah, but I'm waaay more active on the Asylum Reform. And even then, it's more "lurking" rather than "being active"...

I don't know enough about her band or background to answer most of your questions, but I love the songs "Opheliac", "Castle Down", and "4 O'clock", and her style is gorgeous. I know she has written a book and I'd be interested in reading it.
