I've been trying to find some greats bands I could really get into, and I'd be grateful beyond belief. I've been listening to the same 19 songs for over a year and am in dire need of new material. These are the genre I enjoy the most;
J-Pop
K-Pop
Techno/rave/ect.
and country.
Anyone have any good bands I could look into? Oh and any songs that 'sound cute'!

Most of the J-Pop I listen to are opening and ending theme songs from anime series....Yuya Matsushita was one I found J-Pop artist who sang a song I like so much from Durarara that I ended up looking up more of his songs...and his other songs are nice too.
of the K-Pop, I don't listen to much but I really like Exo-K and if you're so inclined you can also listen to Exo-M who sing the same tunes in Mandarin Chinese. Exo have interesting video clips, and they're good dancers too.
Hrm...I've no suggestions for Techno/rave and that type of music, but for Country, I think many know of Taylor Swift, I also know that Kasey Chambers has some decent songs in that genre. I liked the song "Not pretty enough" and "Rattlin' Bones".

Xenosaga 2 and 3 games
Sword Art Online
Puella Magica Madoka (Sp?)
Aquarian Age
And a lot more I can't list atm.
Songs that will get you into her music are:
The World
Awakening (.hack//sign version or Aquarian Age version)
Nowhere
Zodiac Sign
Canta Per Me
Fatal Fight
Liminality
Jr
If I go on any longer you'll have WAY too much to look at lol! Enjoy~!

I made this post on tumblr a while back when a friend expressed an interest in kpop, so here's that. It's all songs that have strong, catchy beats.
Quote:
So you liked Nilili Mambo?
B.A.P Just, anything and everything by B.A.P.
2NE1 is probably a good option as well. Especially songs like Hate You, Can't Nobody and I Am The Best.
You might like B2st. Some ballad stuff, some more pumped up stuff. My favourites are Fiction and Breath.
Big Bang are also great. Start with Fantastic Baby and Monster.
Block B have more songs too, as often happens. Try Nalina.
This is feeling very male centric, so I'll chuck in Brown Eyed Girls, just because they're awesome and badass.
G-Dragon (A member of Big Bang) has some solo work that everyone should check out. Crayon is my favourite.
Epik High's Don't Hate Me is a lot of fun.
NS Yoon G- Reason To Become a Witch is a personal favourite.
Also, check out the Eat Your Kimchi website for their Kpop Charts.

You also said you like country? The only country music I listen to is the Dixie Chicks, but they are a definite favourite of mine.

Let's see, try Gackt and L'Arc~en~Ciel. They are Japanese artists. A whole lot of their songs are good. I haven't heard a Gackt song that I don't like.
HYDE [lead singer of L'Arc] has a lot of good songs as well.
I'll throw in the K-Pop list: Se7en, Super Junior, SHINee, Roh Hi Joon, G-Dragon, Big Bang, 2NE1, T.O.P, Brown Eyed Girls, Girls Generation, B1A4, Phantom, T-Max, TVXQ!, CNBlue, FT ISLAND, Miss A, Sistar, BoA [there's a whole lot more, I just need to remember them].
Don't feel like lyrics? Try Yiruma. "River Flows in You" is amazing.
