It's for the State Science Olympiad Tournament this weekend. We built two instruments (a metallophone, and a one-string hobo "guitar" XD), and we're required to play two pieces on it. The required piece is Ash Grove. The other piece, we get to choose. For the regionals, we chose Minuet in G, but this time, we decided to go with A Whole New World. A classical disney song, one of those you sing in the shower before you set off your day.

Disney songs... wow. Although historically inaccurate, they're awesome to listen to, and just so beautiful! At this exact moment, I'm listening to "A Whole New World" (from Aladdin) and fixing the arrangement my friend had shortened and transposed to G Major by making some of the notes blend better and adding trills and ornaments.

It's great fun, sitting in front of the piano, with a copy of the original recording playing on my laptop and... just experience the wonders of disney. xD

I love Disney music... I have somewhere around 500 Disney songs on my iPod @.@ I know all of them by heart... Am I a complete weirdo? ^.^;

I don't have a fav. but disney songs are awesome to listen to when there is nothing to do or to lift someone's spirits.

My favourites would probably be A Whole New World (Aladdin), Under The Sea (The Little Mermaid), I'll Make A Man Out Of You (Mulan) and almost all of the Lion King ones. :mrgreen:

Disney songs are awsome, and they're not just for little children. Most are songs sang by famous artists, and it just happens to be for a Disney movie. I love the Aladdin theme song, even know it by heart.

When I graduated middle school last year, we used the song You'll be in My Heart by Phil Collins...and it was in Tarzan. So, as you can see, Disney songs are cool. XD

I love disney songs! They are awesome to listen to! My favorite...I dunno but probably from the Lion King. It's my favorite disney movie. Aladdin is good too ^^

I can play a couple songs on the guitar and I could learn more. I probably will learn now that it's come to mind. I haven't learned how to play any on the violin, trumpet or baritone though. *Goes to find sheet music and tab*

Disney songs rock. We were on a Quizbowl trip, and they played "I'll make a man out of you" From Mulan. And it basically spread to the whole school. Someone stood up in French once and sang the opening line, then like, the whole class joined it.

So that's my favorite Disney song. xD It's just so fun to sing!

I love Disney animation films xD
But the other types are half and half. Some are good, some just don't appeal to me.

But the music they pick is great no matter what type of movie it is. They are really good about matching up songs to the moment.

I always felt a little weird for liking disney music. But i gotta say i love popping my my 101 dalmations soundtrack and skipping to Cruela Devil.

I love pretty much all the Disney songs. They're easy to relate to.
When I was younger, I could relate to "Part of Your World" and as I grew up a little, I could relate to "Reflection" and even later I could relate to Megara's "I won't say I'm in love" from Hercules. xD
They're fun, and addictive, which makes them well liked. ^^

The music from Pocahontas is one of my favorite Disney collections. ^^ I also like 'Once Upon A Dream', 'Circle Of Life', 'Part Of Your World', and 'Reflection'. :]

I own every Disney song.. Basically. xD
