I would want to be the guitarist. I definetely like that instrument best. I wouldn't sing backup, 'cause I can't stand girl singers, even though I'm a girl.
I'm not sure what my band would be called... but we'd play music like Panic! or Fall Out Boy, actually probably more like Rocket Me Nowhere and Blink-182.
We'd play smaller venues (oh yeah, fancy word "venue". xD xD) 'cause those are way more fun. And I'm not sure about costumes, 'cause it actually depends on the name. Yeah.

If I was in a band..which I will be, according to my sister and friend...I would be the pianist and help sing. My friend is a very talented writer so she has many songs already....they just need a tune. We plan on her being the lead singer since she wrote them, but she's so shy when it comes to singing. She would barely sing in front of us and she's going to to learn how to play the guitar as well. So I don't know if we would have one lead singer...just all of us singing together with the occasional solo. My sister would play the electric violin and she's going to learn the bass guitar....we got her one several weeks ago. ^^
And another friend...um..not sure what she's going to do..she plays flute. She'll probably sing and possibly learn guitar or drums.

Well, the songs my friend has written sound like they will go to alternative music. They are very well written and have a lot of depth. And probably enough songs to make two CDs. But listening to the songs you may not know that she has a very bubbly personality. n__n
But she also has written a few songs that will go to techno/dance music. xD
So, with the right music, these words could make amazing songs! If not songs, than she could make her own poetry book.
And besides alternative and techno, we'll probably sing Christian contemporary songs as well.
And we probably wouldn't have costumes...just wear whatever we're comfortable in.

As for a name....we had one, but we're changing it...so until they actually learn the instruments, there's no hurry. ;3

if i was in a band i'd probably be the drummer XD although lead singers are usually the cute ones :lol: my band would be called ummmm september sixteen..the type of music we would play will probably be rock lol -big fan- we would play music like ummm april sixth or somewhere along the lies of taking back sunday :3 since i'm not good when it comes to a big audience probably a small club XDDDDDD we would wear whatever because it seems that most bands do wear costumes and its kinda cliche if you know what i mean

Guitarist, I've been playing for 5 years.

I'd probably be the bassist. As for singing... HAHAHA. Unless you want purposefully bad singing in the song or some screaming, I'm just the part. I'm a good screamer, but my singing pitch is beyond bad, no matter how hard I try.

Yet the bassists are the not-quite background people, and don't seem to get as much attention in general, which I'd like.

As for what we'd do... hm. Alternative rock would be most likely, or just plain straight rock. A weird name is required. Me and a bunch of friends toyed with band names, and we decided Electric Scottish Samurai would be awesome. So that's what I'd go with. Imagine the logos! It'd rule.

My band would probably play like, electronic pop music. Kind of like Goldfrapp and Scissor Sisters. We'd probably try to play a wide variety of genres too, like some folk and hip hop and whatnot, like Beck.

We'd all wear crazy, flamboyant costumes. I really don't like it when a band wears like, normal street clothes. It's so boring. Fabulous shiny costumes are so much better!

I might be a singer, because I like singing, although I somehow always manage to freeze up before audiences and because, guess what, I can't play guitar, bass, OR drums, but then again, I'd probably play keyboard or something. (wow, check out my run-on sentence!)

My band would have some amazingly weird name (Alegretto, I love yours! Bit of a tongue-twister, almost, though).

Probably techno-esque. Something like Eiffel-65, Monsters Are Waiting, and Robots in Disguise. Who knows? I absolutely love this Finnish band called Poets of the Fall, which is beautiful, and I love the lyrics especially, so I'd try to have something like that, with a little bit of a electronic touch to it.

Or, hey. I'm thinking Midnattsol, Vitas (he's a Russian pop singer, and he has the most amazing voice. Look him up on YouTube. He can sing soprano like none other), Leaves' Eyes, Nightwish, Evanescence, and Within Temptation. Beautiful, haunting, lyrical, with a touch of Poets of the Fall. XD The Poets are mandatory.

Costumes... that's fun. Vintage-y, cream colors, Renassiance dresses, pearls, golds, lace, with black... I would have lots of fun with that. I'm a photographer, see, so I have all these images bouncing around in my head waiting for me to put them to use.

Makes me think of Brighten... I saw them in concert with Cute Is What We Aim For and I was shocked that their bassist was also the lead singer, and then they had a guitarist and a drummer, that was it. 3 guys, instead of 4 to 7.

I was in a band and we were having a hard time thinking of a name, that wasn't taken. That's a hard task. But we settled on Rageahol.

A blend of metal, rock, some classical influences, as well as a bit of pop.

Small clubs to begin with and we'll see how that goes. Dress however.

Make a CD. Haha. Like I said I was in a band, just starting out. Though I left because of things that were happening in my life. Hopefully I'll find another one.

My band would probably play different kinds of music, experimenting a little. I would like to put some classical elements in it, like violin, classic piano end stuff like that, but with a modern sound to it, with all the "regular" instruments. When first hearing our music, I think people would think of us as weird. We would play the kind of music you need to get used to before being able to appreciate it for what it is...

Small clubs I guess for starters, and weird festivals and such... Stadiums depending on if we are ever asked, who's asking, and if it's only us. A concert with my band alone in a large stadium just because, would not sit right, at least not with me.

I'd be backup singer/rhythm guitarist. I can sing really well, but my my voice isn't distinctive enough to sing lead. And I have a great sense of rhythm when playing guitar. :3
