Now some of you if you had the chance to watch Eurovision last year, in 2007, you may have seen them perform. Or if you're not in Europe then you may have found them on youtube or other video sites.

For those of you who don't know who Apocalyptica are they are a Finnish rock/heavy metal band with a differnece, insted of all the normal instruments you may expecept from rock/heavy metal groups they use cellos insted. There are four members of the band three who play the cello and a drummer. They've done a few Metallica covers and they also did Bittersweet which some of you many know as a HIM song.

So anyone else heard of them?

What's your favorite song?

If you'd never heard of them until now are you interested now?

Feel free to post more information about Apocalyptica. I'll add more information as and when it comes.

I have heard a bunch of their old Metallica covers. I assumed they were a Metallica tribute band. I think they do some pretty decent stuff.

I actually like them, although I'm more into
alternative rock.
Are they truly rock/metal?
..because they use cellos instead,
which is pretty sweet.

They are rock/metal they call their style cello rock. Being so different from other rock/metal bands means that they can create their own genre.

My friend gave me a cd a couple years ago with instrumental metallica covers, I never knew what the band was called. until now!

I got tired of the cd after a year, but it's nice to know they have other music. I'll have to check them out. ;3

I discovered them a few years ago, because the cello section of my orchestra was obsessed with them xD I looove their Metallica stuff. It makes me die from utter joy.

See... I have this problem... where I'm in love with the cello. Utterly and completely. I wanted to play the cello, but it wouldn't fit on my bus (*Sob*), so I chose the viola xP Which, by the way, is JUST AS COOL, and COOLER THAN A VIOLIN. >>

But, yeah. I don't have a LOT of their music, but I have enough to be in love with them. C:

I only first heard of Apocalyptica a couple of weeks ago. My mom likes them and she gave me one of their CDs to listen to but I haven't gotten around to it yet.

Hah! Saw them live too! <3
I was highly disappointed with the crowd.
Not many people know what to do with rock cellos I suppose.

Yeah, that would be harder, it wouldn't be a normal rock concert in a sense.

How was the crowd?

Band: APOCALYPTICA
song: HOPE V II
^ my favorite song in the world. anyways so this band is composed of 4 cello players who actuall have a more hard sound to them that you would NEVER expect considering the instruments they use.
anyways they BEGAN doing cover songs from the likes of metallica etc and they actually sound alost the same c.c slight differences (obviously they are playing cellos)
anyways
what do you think of them?
feel free to use youtube to look them up ^^ the song i list above is my person favorite of theirs though to listen to the metallica cover or the entersandman rendition is actually quite good :)

That reminds me. I have one of their CDs lying around but I have yet to listen to it. It's my mom's. She thought I might like it.

I wonder what I did with it.

I've only heard the song "I don't care" ft. Adam Gontier.
I like that song, but somehow seeing the band makes me
think I wouldn't like any other song by them.

The only song I've heard by 'em are their cover of David Bowie's "Heroes," sung in German, courtesy of Rammstein's Till Lindemann.

I've only a heard two songs from Apocalyptica and I can tell they are good. ^^-

I loved their song Quutamo and Bittersweet. I watched the video for Bittersweet and fell instantly in love. Do the singers have any more collaborations? HIM and Apocalyptica seem to be such a good match. <3

The first song I heard by them was Nothing Else Matters. <3
