So I got the Tudors soundtrack today, because I'm pretty much addicted to the show. If you don't know what it is, I'll explain. It's a series on Showtime [Cable]. It's an hour long, and stars Jonathan Rhys Meyers as a young Henry VIII, King of England. The series began when Henry's uncle was killed, when he was a young, handsome womanizer, a bit before Anne came into the picture. It's now on its second season, starting last night.

Now to talk about the real topic, the soundtrack. It was composed by Trevor Morris? Or simply arranged, I'm not sure, but it's still really amazing. Most of the songs sound really classic...yet they seemed to have a kind of modern flare that's really addictive.

The main theme itself is a perfect example. You should definitely watch the intro on YouTube, I'm sure they'd have it there.

I think my favorite songs are 'A Historic Love' and 'Wolsey Commits Suicide - Finale'. They're basically the same song, one's a little slower, is all. It's a really amazing song, and kindof reminds me of that song from 'Last of the Mohicans'. You really get a sense of passion from it though. There's something about instrumentals like this with lots of violins that draws me in.

So has anyone else heard it? Liked it? Seen the series? Hated it?
